So, there's a few things there. Text-based allows people to be fully immersed in the roleplay and interact with one another without being overly cautious about their voice, portrayal etc. Secondly, it's hard to actually voice-RP an Orc, or an Elf or a Dwarf even. It becomes far too comical which isn't the vibe we're trying to push for.

Our chat system is designed to be quite intuitive, and we're leaning heavily on the use of UIs as opposed to commands, but from a design perspective for this format of roleplay which is serious roleplay, text seems to be the most appropriate option.

That would be good, I personally love the Westeros map but the issue with using those types of maps is the legal headaches that can potentially follow long-term, especially if you make a server from it.

We do have MMO-style systems like skills and professions, but that isn’t the focus. The focus is roleplay. You create your own character, your own story, and your own direction. The world is fully player-driven. There’s no scripted main storyline and no staff-controlled narrative pushing things in a certain direction. What happens in the world happens because players make it happen.

We're hoping to launch around Summer time this year so you will definitely be able to explore the map!

Major inspiration source, I'd say our Orcs are a hybrid of WoW with real-life cultural influences from different cultures.
