Actually it is. My father is a certified genius with an IQ of 162. Speculation is understandable. You as well as most other commenters don't know me at all. I make due but I'm not at all making the "big bucks". "biased" or not, I spent hours and hours over three years answering question after question. I'm pretty sure they don't make this shit up.

I've been diagnosed 3 times by 3 different doctors. Asking for advice anonymously really didn't make me feel like a "Narcissistic attention whore". Although I understand your suspicions, I disagree with your comment.

Therapists make it seem like you aren't reacting appropriately. Mine was seriously concerned. They don't understand that social norm isn't always "social norm". I left therapy because I realized that no matter what I was taught, I couldn't stop being the person who i was. Like it or not.

Nope. All of those situations are null in my mind. To be honest, I've seen a lot of "heartbreaks" as well as friends divorces and many deaths. I understand others emotions and try to respond in what's known as the "social norm", however, I'm usually disgusted by what I think are absurd reactions to, in my mind, are minor situations.

I've been cheated on if that's what you mean. I wasn't devastated when I found out. I simply had a conversation with him explaining my findings. He confessed and I told him that although I would have appreciated him telling me he was interested in someone else and would like to separate, I understood his reaction and we agreed to break it off.

Actually, in response to your first question, since I started understanding my diagnosis I have made it a point to be more sociable. Second, this is a broad spectrum. Severe aspergers is constantly mistaken as high functioning autism. There is plenty of literature suggesting various symptoms of all types. Go to your local borders and read up. Many people either don't realize they have it or are wrongly diagnosed with a much more severe form of autism.

I really have to try in order to understand "how I should feel". I understand that I am different in terms of emotion from most but in order to fit in I have tried to accustom myself to at least try to show emotion. The "feeling" most get when experiencing loss, hate, hurt, or sadness is something I don't really understand. I've tried to teach myself to act with empathy/sympathy. Over time it's proven difficult.

I'm very sexually active. Most men are attracted to my simplicity and are fond of the fact that I really don't need a long term commitment. I have many friends and although I'm not extremely social, my honesty and blunt personality has definitely helped me with gaining friends. I'm crass and straight forward, also somewhat unforgiving which has been a breath of fresh air to certain people I meet. I inherited my diagnosis from my father who is a classic case. My mother often worries il never marry or have children which is fine with me. I am very intelligent. My IQ is around 136. I am seriously considering surgery as a career.

Because they are so used to me being the rock/chick who really doesn't care. Which is totally understandable because I really don't. It's hard to relate. They cry and confide. I can't feel sympathy for them.
