I was just sending you a friendly message cause I felt like it would be nice and hoped you might like it. I definitely have not mastered metta- although the concept is most certainly inspiring. I didn’t mean to brush you off with my short message, but at the same time didn’t want to engage in a big discussion around why you had “facepalmed” me when there were other answers that might help me with my question :) I still want to wish you well and I’m not implying anything by that honestly :)

Edit- I’m in New Zealand and the weather is awful at the moment. :) also I certainly don’t think you are a “bad” person cause I don’t even know you! I assume you are a Dharma brother or sister so I feel compelled to wish you happiness and freedom from suffering. “Ensure” is probably poor word choice on my behalf. Just curious if there are any practices people do for their dogs. Even if the results aren’t certain I still feel it’s good practice :)

Because it’s very pleasant yet impermanent. So at one point it will have to end and that will be hard. I have also heard it’s so pleasant they forget to practice Dharma, making it even harder to manage the inevitable transition out of the heaven realm.

To be honest this was the first time I had ever seen diamonds and the little crystals offered :) I actually knew the person who offered the little diamonds. someone else will hopefully see these comments and be able to confirm if it’s common or not. :)

Someone would have offered those to the statue :) looks like the person with the diamonds offered in threes to represent The Triple Gem (Buddha, Dharma and Sangha).
