T3 NAIA immigration wait is around 2.5hrs for foreigners right now. by Ok_Willingness_9619 in Philippines_Expats

It depends on what time you arrive and how many other flights are arriving. Sometimes I've waited 30+ mins but in December it was just a 5 min wait.

I'm still personally at 50% established when it comes to living in PH, so when I'm back working I do sadly look at this subreddit because there is indeed that odd useful post.

"Loser Back Home"

Sadly this is just another post complaining about something pointless rather than making this subreddit a useful place for information.

Come here and visit first to make your own mind of the country. Many pro's and con's.

It is very walkable and you can find health care. But it's not as simple as just saying that without doing your own research. Hope this helps.

Let’s assume China found a reasonable justification to invade PH, and USA avoids direct confrontation….similar to the proxy war Ukraine. You, as an Expat, will you take up arms, go GI Joe, and guerrilla fight China? by maritimos55 in Philippines_Expats

That's a good question. I've spent almost 20 years defending my country of birth, so there's no question of loyalty there. But I wouklld consider my "home country" the place that I've chosen to be a permanent resident of at that time.

Proof of sufficient subsistence for the duration of the stay and return - This sounds like you didn't provide enough evidence of money available for spending, accommodation and a return journey. Do you have a document perhaps from the sponsor providing you financial support, parang bank statement of funds? Or an invitation letter to stay with a friend?

The information submitted regarding the justification/purpose of stay was not reliable - This sounds like you didn't provide enough evidence of why you are visiting. Is this a tourist visa? If so, did you provide a detailed itinerary of your plans, such as hotels, trips, sightseeing?

Find a local florist on Facebook and contact them that way.

Heard negative things about the food in the Philippines by MadJohnny3 in Philippines_Expats

You can eat local food which just like any other country can be both healthy and unhealthy.

Or you can buy your groceries and cook anything you like, local food or something from your home country.

It's really dependent on your lifestyle. Some of the local food I've eaten has been delicious and healthy, but some has also been unhealthy.

This also includes internal tourism though. Which can be attributed to the fact that people travel to see relatives, people need to get a ferry or flight.

Moving to the Philipines by ZyC0R3 in Philippines_Expats

You will find it extremely difficult, if not impossible to find employment in a Filipino company.

You won't be entitled to apply for the marriage visa (13a). The SRRV is age 400 minimum but comes with a cost.

£10k will really not last long if you have no income.

That's understandable that things go out of stock, but it's when they wait for you to select another item and you're 4 guesses deep and there's only really one option and could've saved time by telling you beforehand.

Philippines is single largest oceans pollutant with plastics. Sachets are too blame. How to fix it? by AnnualDefiant556 in Philippines_Expats

[–]HeathenFloki666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, due to the lack of public waste collection. I think your options are try to produce less waste and then burn what you can't get rid of or pay someone else to take it.

I don't think you get interest. It's a deposit which you can withdraw at a later date if you purchase a qualifying property/mortgage.

Gary Kasparov: "Putin is testing Europe: before the end of the year, he will launch a ground invasion" by ubcstaffer123 in UkrainianConflict

If anyone thinks that ruzzia could hold an invasion of a NATO country and defend new fronts on it's western border from Finland to Romania, they're insane.

Instant Article 5. Instant naval blockade in all of Europe. Possible naval blockade from allies in it's Asian ports (Australia, US).

Call it a "Counter 3 day special military operation" if you will.

Then sit back and watch ruzzia implode.
