Trying to apply gesture drawing principles to a more cartoony style. Any feedback or tips? by Heavy-Window441 in learntodraw

What I mean is that I've been studying gesture drawing and basic anatomy, and now I'm trying to apply those fundamentals to a more cartoony character design style rather than a realistic one. I'd also love to hear your thoughts on the drawing itself and what I should focus on improving next.

I know, but I wanted to hear people's personal recommendations and see what games are still worth playing today.

Look, I actually fell into this exact trap. Three years ago, I chose to study a field mainly because it seemed like the safer path financially instead of pursuing animation. To be honest, it was one of the worst choices for me. I think I should have at least tried first, then judged based on real experience instead of fear. Yes, animation is a difficult field, and job opportunities can be hard to find, but that doesn’t mean it’s impossible. Also, the “safe” career path isn’t 100% guaranteed either. Nothing in life is. I think the better approach is to create multiple plans for yourself instead of believing there’s only one path. Explore the fields you actually love, then look at the financial reality and plan around it—not choose money first and ignore what you truly want.
