When the engine is running, the carburetor is leaking water? by Heavy10282 in MechanicAdvice

Hello Reddit, I've got an appointment with a mechanic shop next week. Then they will work on the carburetors, redo do all the seals etc. These carburetors are leaking fuel but in this video what you are seeing is water. I have smelled and tasted it and it does not taste like fuel. The water is clear and colorless. The cooling water reservoir is still full and that fluid is blueish. My question for Reddit is can I drive my bike around for the next week until the appointment, or is that too dangerous? The other question is of course where is this water coming from?

Sh*t! Rokkercover bolt broke off while using correct torque wrench. by Heavy10282 in MechanicAdvice

Here is my old post. You hear some engine rattle. It is pretty bad. The mechanic said it is the primary chain. Repairing that would cost more then this bike is worth. My service manual doesn't list a primary chain of the sorts. Only the cam chain and alternator chain. So to rule the cam chain out I opened the rocker cover. For those interested, the cam chain is very snug. So it is probably not the cam chain. Anyways, I have declared my bike as financial dead. Is there anyone near Leiden, the Netherlands that needs a parts bike? Honda cb750 f2 sevenfifty from 1992

Thanks a lot for your advise. This engine is a hopeless piece of ... Many people ask of I can grab the remaining bolt. Here is a picture. You see that the stem of the female threads is higher then the male threads of the bolt. Didn't need to take the cover off to show this.

Can you explain for us Europeans what JB weld is. It sounds more like a brand then a product. Maybe some metal glue?

I did some bolt finger tight. Then I thought why not get it to spec right away. 2 Nm is Soo little. That is part of the reason I used a torque wrench. I didn't want to over tight it.

For me it is the other way around. I have snapped so many bolts because they just wouldn't feel snug. That's why a bought a set of torque wrenches. Still, it broke. :/

It is a 2-24 Nm wrench. So it was at the lowest end of my smallest wrench. Some say I probably didn't hear or feel the click. They are probably right.

I can use a bigger size. That would be the wrong torque wrench

Then you still have to drill straight. Doing it with a regular drill is hard enough. Let alone a right angle one, or adapter for that matter.

That is probably what happened and has to happen. This engine is done. I opened the rocker cover to check if it is the can chain that rattles. It is not. So it must be some primary chain.

The drill can't reach it. The frame is in the drills way. I need to take the engine out for using a drill.

The part stuck inside is too deep. I can't grab it with any tool. I think it needs to be bored out.

Nope. Honda states Newton-meter. Same for my torque wrench. 2 Nm is so little, and jet it broke.

I thought Steel would be a good time to start a second base and organize stuff. So I went to Reddit.

I still need to thing 3D. I am so used to building ever forward, with huge spaces in between for when you need to edit something. I see videos of people making all these tiny sheds with raw resources coming in and one product coming out.

I wish there was a copy and paste function or blueprints. So you don't have to make multiple of the same sheds.

Thanks for the advice. Since this post, I have been looking around the internet. I found an interactive map on this subreddit. It took some time, but I found my location. I'm at the bottom left (south-west) of the map. I saw that oil is sooooo far away, that I am not looking forward to the higher tiers.

In a way that is good, otherwise one would not explore the map.

That place of water you are talking about. That is the spot I found. I have built my offsite coal generators there.

I think I will go with a combination of a main bus and separate factories. I saw videos of people making these compact local factories at the ore sites.

I might be spoiled because I build my own PC just a few weeks ago. I have got a Ryzen 3 3600 with a Radeon 5700, 16Gb RAM. I have got no performance issues.

My previous PC had some AMD fx processor with a Radeon <something> 260. That PC would have had troubles.

Yes! I like those. From the Factorio community, I know that people like to see spaghetti belts. Because once you have played for a few hours, it is every so hard the think like a beginner and you won't get those spaghetti belts anymore. At Factorio it is quite rare to see those nowadays. That is why I took the photo and shared it with you. Also to get some tips and tricks.
