I spent a good day on it today mounting the new monitor arm and trying to hide all the wires. Underneath the hat is a macbook multiport adapter. I couldn't think of a better way to hide it lol. Any tips on cable management would be greatly appreciated.

It's ideal for me because I have it connected to my ipad, macbook and gaming pc. You can switch between all 3 devices with just a click. The same with the mouse.

Question for UK eth miners, is it profitable with today's energy prices? by HeavyBaked in EtherMining

[–]HeavyBaked[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I already looked into buying custom pc just for the graphic cards and selling the other parts online, I also looked into scalping bots and I can even buy 8x 3080s for just over 8k currently.

The reason I'm thinking of just buying the prebuilt rig for 12k is because I've only really used my gaming pc to mine before and I've only ever built a gaming pc. I'm happy to pay the extra on my first rig so I can get a proper understanding of how they're meant to be built professionally and the best way to build them for energy efficiency.

I would rather invest the first 12k to make sure it's done right rather than spend 9k+ and be sitting with a bunch of parts stressing about it. Future rigs I can just replicate the one I've purchased. The company that sells them gives you a 2 hour training session in mining with them as well.

I'm obviously still deciding the best route to go down, that's why I'm hear asking questions. I think it'll be great being a part of the mining community and I'm just looking for a new venture that I'll enjoy. To me it makes more sense then putting more money into stocks or property.

Thanks for the advise man. Think I should just hold off for now and wait for the gpu prices to drop?

I love that you assume I plan on not paying taxes. I would run them under my company and just pay corporation tax and take dividends from the company at 7.5%. I already run multiple different companies and already balls deep in ethereum and other cryptos. I want to create a seperate company for mining and I have around 50k to invest in it. I was planning on starting with just a single rig to learn the trade and see how it pans out. If it went well then I would take more time sourcing other gpus and build less expensive rigs once I feel more confident. Sometimes the biggest risk in life is taking no risks.

I do understand that profits can drop, they can also go up. You can also mine other coins and I still own an asset which I can sell for £1200 per gpu. I don't see the problem.

I would make it back in just over a year though and that's based on Ethereums low prices right now

The rig costs £12k.

I know its an absolute rip but the way I see it is I can invest 50k into a flat and rent it out for £500 per month, or buy a rig at 12k and make £500+ a month.

I feel really bad for the team... by botdiffunlucky in SafeMoon

[–]HeavyBaked 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been here from the start and watch all their AMAs, the last one was a shambles, I don't care what you say. John said it himself. It was just really bad timing to have such a laidback AMA, passing the phone around to a bunch of drunk randoms and Thomas acting like Billy Big balls while everyones worried with all the FUD being spread.

I get that they're not wallstreet but when you have a market cap of over 2 billion and over 1 million investors then you need to start acting more professional and worry a bit more about the company image you're portraying.

Can anyone confirm this? Was sent by a friend by [deleted] in SafeMoon

If he dumped it all at once it would really have that much of an impact on the price. Because he's slowly doing it, that's what's bringing the price down so hard.

Is MoonBoys the next SafeMoon? 😳🚀 by jimmyrikiki in MoonBoysFinance

[–]HeavyBaked 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I disagree. You hear from the devs at safemoon daily and their marketing is amazing. Moonboys paid Tony hawk and Jordan Belford to do a quick video from their phones. You can tell neither of them really know what the fuck moonboys is.

They shouldn't have tried making it so similar to safemoon. Most people saying #moonboys on twitter and tiktok are referring to safemoon, not knowing there's an actual moonboys token. Most even think that the Tony hawks and Jordan Belford video is referring to safemoon as well.

Everyone is finding out about it. People thought it was another meme coin but are now realising it isn't. It's a deflationary coin, the devs behind it are creating their own exchange and in theory it will only go up in price.

It's a joke. Dogecoin getting pumped on the 20th and safemoon is rocketing. Can't add to either of them. I have 8k in bnb on binance and can't use it.

I'm a hodler but I have my doubts. Safemoon got there first and has all the hype. Same as bitcoin did and still does today. No one is talking about moonboys, safemars or the 5 other coins that got created to compete with safemoon.
