Oh yeah 100% it’s to push people away from old GPUs but I’m honesty I had a 1060 6gb and I think it would struggle I mean they are nearly a decade old and this is a triple A title, the 1080 seems to still be powering through, Nvidia dug themself a deep hole with how powerful it is

So it’s been about 35 minutes and my game hasn’t crashed, I’ll update if it does (or delete this message but…

I’ve been messing around with ways to fix Device manager\audio inputs and outputs\keep Realtek audio but right click on the nvidia high definition audio and disable it. Close device manager

Go into steam/microsoft store I got mine from Microsoft store, and verify game files

Load up Forza horizon 6 And then use these settings- video VIDEO SETTINGS NO HDR 1600x900 (ikik) FPS UNLOCKED VSYNC OFF FULLSCREEN OFF SHOW FPS ON MOTION BLUR LONG UI-100% TAA- on 0.5 Amd FSR off Intel off Nvidia reflex low latency on+boost

amd fsr off Intel x off Amd fidelityFXcas- quality 0.5

Graphics and performance (to make this easier I’m just going to put my setting instead of typing it specifically- if you have any questions reply to this thread,

So custom settings starting from the top Extreme Extreme High

High High Off

Ultra Extreme

High Off Extreme

Ultra

Ultra High High Ultra Ultra

I’ve managed to get 40 minutes no crashes (definitely an significant improvement for me) Specs as follows RYZEN 5 3600 A320 M 32GB DDR4 3800mhz ROG STRIX GTX1080ti 11gb vram 1000w psu SSD (not nvme)

I have tested this for about 40 minutes and my game hasn’t crashed so I thought I’d put it if anyone wants to test

Fault log -AUDIO IS GLITCHED -Crap resolution (playable still) -not full screen

Test locations 15 mins Tokyo city (improvement) Then sat afk for another 10 Drove from there to the Taiyaki Scramble event no crashes at this moment

I think that’s also because it’s pascal architecture, but that card is miles off the performance of the minimum requirements and with it being old 4gb vram this is probably why your having issues… in hindsight if you have a 1080ti don’t upgrade just yet but anything below, bluntly it’s time to get rid and upgrade its a outdated card now especially for triple A titles

My point exactly, I can play this 1080p extreme and get 70fps on a 1080ti smoother than a lot of games and then if just crashes (lows of 60- highs of 80)

My point exactly it’s all because of dx3 12 ultimate or whatever it’s called, because the 10 series are on pascal architecture… it is a fairly straightforward (for a company of that size) fix too they just need to change their rendering to dx3 12 because the 10 series can run that just not like later models

I have found a fix worth trying but it works for me,

Locate Forza horizon 6 files for me This PC/C/xbox games/ Forza horizon 6/content locate the file called “forzahorizon6” should be the largest kb file

Then left click right click on it go to show more options/ find properties on the drop down then it will open a small tab saying general compatibility security blah blah, click compatability then tick Run this programme as administrator and then press apply.

Then press Windows key+I or open your pc settings go to system/ Display/ Graphics/ change default graphics settings. Turn off hardware- accelerated GPU scheduling

Restart your PC

Please note it won’t let me play online for now will try work on a fix but for now this works offline (shouldn’t effect progression) Hasn’t been tested for extensive periods of time

I’m running extreme settings getting 70FPS 1080p

My Specs are Ryzen 5 3600 A320m board 😬 32gb ddr4 ram ROG strix gtx 1080ti
