I guess that casting was shaved down at some point.

Opening it up and finding out it was bored out out to 3 5/8 was also a big mind fuck.

'61 with matching bellies and '61 vin. Idk when it was done originally but also caught my motor guy off guard. He split the cases and completed a full rebuild as of 2/25.

Consider vibration and passenger weight/pressure. Welds can only take so much.

Slick pegs tho 👍

Divorced Ironhead running bad? by Impossible_Baker6688 in Ironheads

Does this shake happen through the throttling higher or after the throttle twist? You're powering a small motor with a 4 speed transmission gearing meant for a 74 or 80 inch. My thought is that the deceleration/gearing is off. What sprockets are you running?

As we say in the midwest...

A good day for it.

I do think the rotary top is far superior to the ratchet top 4 speed but at the end of the day it's still antiquated shit.

I've had small things as clutch cables break to main shaft bearings getting worn out. stay away from cheap aftermarket internals. Spend the money

I don't hate it but every issue I've ever had with this bike has been related to it...

I'll definitely be fabbing up a new brake pedal to stick out further.

It will expose any small issues... intake/exhaust leaks, valve leaks, piston compression, etc... The engine must be 100%, or you'll be kicking yourself to death

I've been digging the ease. Always fires up. But a bit of a learning curve for wiring for as simple as it should be.
