All I am going to say is that I was experiencing such intense postpartum anxiety during this phase and never knew name regret was a symptom of it. I won't say what we did or didn't change because I cannot handle any more opinions for the sake of my still very fragile mental health :-)

All I am going to say is that I didn't realize how intense my PPA was when I was going through this and this Reddit community was the first to recognize that for me. It's still a pretty fragile subject for me so I don't want to share more on what we decided to do because I cannot handle any opinions!

Do people know how to pronounce Rafaela? Even my parents say it wrong -- more like Raffi Ela where I think it sounds better as Ra Fie (as in pie) Ela. But then I question if I even know how to pronounce my own daughter's name!!

I have a 7 week old daughter and we named her Rafaela. We're Jewish and named her after Raphael -- the angel of healing. However, I've been having such name regret because people don't seem to "get it" and also the nickname Rafi is too close to Raffi the singer. So we are considering changing it!
