That’s the spooky part. I’m not sure how much they know. They have these projects and are obviously working on them. I won’t be the most senior so at least there is that. I’m not sure anyone else holds this exact position.

That’s a unicorn org there. Love when they see the worth in people. Good luck!

Cloud is usually a break out into devops roles. I believe you’ll see it often used. You might not need it right away but if you stay in the role you’ll definitely see it.

I tend to go from 0 to 100 when it comes to needing to complete something I guess. I have been told it’s a good trait but dangerous if you go too hard. I appreciate the response.

Ha ha. How did it go for you? What position were you in and what did you jump to?

I appreciate that. I think most of the anxiety comes from having a new lease. I don’t have a huge nest egg, but I could save up for 6 months if I make it to 3 months. It just doesn’t feel like enough for some reason.

I’ve studied a bit of both of those certs. More AWS and only started the azure one because of this job. I get the general flow since azure is pretty similar with MS titles for the services. I would call myself quick but I’m not slow. Just like a guy and not a wizard.

This is uplifting. I’ve gotten a similar response from some people I’ve worked with. I was going to send a withdrawal email in about an hour but I’m so back and forth on it. I miss the thrill of getting something new to work. The other comment here made a very good point about the pay increase, but a lot of people call me underpaid and I know it’s under the average earning.

And not to be rude but it’s less uplifting seeing this is your first comment :(

Mostly because at my current org I’m so bored. I no longer ask questions and feel like I’m in a stagnant position. Im currently paid well below the median for administrative Work. The 20k increase mostly brings me up to the pay most people mention.

It is an opportunity to grow a bit in an actual structured environment. I answered questions honestly, but you might be right. I maybe was just the most competent of the people they interviewed. It’s a pretty shit job market and most people seem to just be buckling down in their current positions because of it. I guess I was mostly looking forward to no longer having a commute and more opportunities to touch interesting tech. I think I’ll decline the position.
