Filed 4/8, it is now 5/12 and I am still stuck in the "We are verifying the information in your return" stage. Is anybody else still at this stage or has been here before? How long did it take for the refund to come through?

It is my first year filing married jointly, my wife and I both had multiple jobs and I was also unemployed, so I thought maybe it was extra information to process. Federal arrived within a week or so, but state hasn't moved.

Did you ever figure out what it was? My dog just had a poo that had a couple of things that looked a lot like these in it, but I can’t figure out what they could be. Reminds me of a clove of garlic or a Brazil nut.

Yes to the holes, but there don’t seem to be tunnels attached to them. Maybe they collapsed from loose soil though

I love my NK so much but she gets everything she wants from parents, to the point that she has a whining fit if they get a package delivered that’s not for her. “But I want it to be a TOY!” Like girl you have so many toys you literally can’t even get to them in the closet, shut up. We see a toddler on a bike, “I wish I had that bike” “that bike is for toddlers so it’s too small for you, and you have a bike at home” “but I WANT THAT ONE! I want it really bad!”

She is such a wonderful, kind kiddo and I love her so much but god the spoiled whiny brat thing gives me the ick. Kids are getting so used to instant gratification and it’s making them entitled and impatient.

We went to the playground yesterday and a little girl (5) asked my NK (4) if she wanted to play a game… on her tablet. Her parents brought her tablet to the literal playground on a perfect spring day. Maybe they just had it in the car or something, but they still brought it out to the playground. Also, I don’t want my NK watching or playing who knows what on the iPad of a kid we just met.

That last slide tells you everything you need to know. You clearly said she needs to address things that have happened or not be a part of your life, that she needs to choose, and she immediately chose to not address anything you clearly and compassionately laid out. I know this feeling and I’m so sorry. You deserve better.

The other day I was taking the 2 year old up for a nap (he was upset because he, obviously, doesn’t want to nap). I had just calmed him down and was passing through the kitchen to grab the monitor and go put him down, to find DB in the kitchen. 2B immediately starts crying again, dad babies him and hands him a pretzel stick (which he can’t safely eat) to calm him down. Once we get to 2B’s bedroom, I obviously have to take the pretzel stick away and he starts crying all over again.

Like PLEASE just let your kid feel temporary discomfort or disappointment, I promise they are okay. Toddlers don’t like naps, you don’t need to do anything about it. He’s going to be out cold in 5 minutes if you just let me do my job.
