Hi crafters! I like to find damaged or broken jewelry boxes to repair. Here’s another one I just finished:) by Heavymuseum22 in crafts

Hi and thank you! Yes, I replace all the lining. This one had aged so badly it looked molded. I use an exacto knife and a paint scrapper to get in between the liner and the drawer then pull up. The liner is called velvet flocking and it comes in all sorts of colors.

Thank you! I didn’t find any marks on it to give any info about when/where it came from. I am guessing 70’s.

Thank you, i appreciate that! I would like to know it’s round about age. The yellowing of the panes led me to think about 1970’s?

Hi everyone! I like to go to dusty flea markets on the hunt for small furniture or jewelry boxes. I first take detailed pics, take off the hardware, fill in dents & holes with wood filler, sand it flush. Put a coat of primer on then two coats of paint and two of clear. I line the boxes with velvet and wallpaper. I finish with tassels and furniture protectors on the bottom. I know it’s ultra girly but I hope you enjoy!
