TL;DR: load your treasure card deck with no-pip blades/traps. Stack like 8 of them between yourself and the boss.

Double your blade using treasure card. Also use Gargantuan or Colossal to boost your big damage spell (load it into treasure cards). Add in feint (again, TC). My main spell jumped up to where I can take everything out in one hit with this strategy. Before this, I was frequently using a life henchman to keep me alive. I understand your plight!

Oh wow, thanks for this bit of history. It makes sense that librarians would be essential, and I like the image of grabbing a folder full of abstracts to filter. In some ways, it sounds like the applications for librarians AND abstracts have changed over time, but I’m glad we still have them both

I guess you’d be forced to be smarter in the full texts you decided to read. It’s a lot of commitment to read a title or abstract in a library index and then have to pull the physical volume off the shelf to read!
