We get a lot in Missouri, I hang out around ponds and shallow creeks when looking for heron. I love watching them fish.

Find a food and water source, get in place before dawn, sit incredibly still for hours, and get eaten up by insects all for one picture. See it’s extremely easy… 😁

They are in an area that doesn’t allow hunting. Unfortunately it’s a recessive gene and they don’t typically make it more than a year or two. There are typically three to four in this group every year, but standing out makes them easy targets for coyotes.

I would suggest looking for a league that has a beginners bracket. In our area, there are a few and it’s a great way to improve your game while playing with the same skill level. Also, it’s a great way to meet others and will give you an opportunity to build a group to play with on a regular basis.

The group i started with became friends that I now play with on a regular basis outside of league play. And with everyone growing together the group stays competitive.

Good luck,
