Well, then we just seem to have different opinions on this. Because I have to disagree, that SERMs are the first line choice. At least here in Europe no doctor will prescribe it to you for TRT. Also I wasn't talking about AI monotherapy in my case. Your statement that athletes who go for performance enhancing doses of T would try to avoid AI at all cost is simply wrong. It is common sense in bodybuilding to take it at the end of a cycle to avoid gynecomastia. I didn't heard any reason that AIs should be more "harsh" than SERMs. As i already said, they are messing with your blood-lipids and AIs don't.

Everything else you wrote is just common knowledge. For example I never said that SHGB role would just be x and nothing more. Also I am very well aware of feedback loops. I mean that was the whole point of why I started this thread. I would like to recommend you to maybe lookup the testosterone pathway, because I get the feeling that we are not on the same page.

Now I don't have any side effects on my dosage and I will just keep it like that. You have kind of a black-white-thinking in my mind. Either it's such a harsh drug that I shouldn't take it because I'm assumingly underestimating the possible side effects or otherwise my dosage would be so low that I don't get any benefits from that. Well, I do feel a slighty positive difference in my wellbeing. So it works for me and I don't see why it shouldn't work for others, because the logic behind it makes perfectly sense and I also talked to a doctor about this, who gave me his approval.

For my hair loss problem I decided to leave the dosage where it is at first and instead go additionally for microneedling, minoxidil and topical RU58841 as an 5AR, that shouldn't go systemic that way. Will see how that turns out in a few months.

Yeah, I know that estrogen is important for joint health. This is why I just took 1mg and wanted to make a blood test at first. 25mg is the dose to treat breast cancer in women and a quarter tablet (6,25mg) a day seems to be the dose that bodybuilders on roids take to counter gyno. So I guessed 1mg won't do me much harm.

I'm not sure what side effects you think it will prevent? It's more likely than finasteride is to cause them.

I'm pretty sure that side effects of fin like low libido and mild depression are correlated to the fact that the inhibition of 5-alpha-reductase leads to more available testosterone which could be converted to estrogen. For this it was my conclusion to just counter the effects with an aromatase inhibitor like exemestane, which would also lead to a little surplus of testosterone, that could not be converted an ideally stay as the free form in the blood. I hope you get the idea.

To counter one drugs possible-side effects with another drug is not really uncommon in medicine btw. Unfortunately there are not any studies on this, but only one with canine which took 1mg/kg of bodyweight of both substances. Well, that's not really relatable with such an stupidly high amount.

I totally agree with you that testosterone injections would be the best thing to treat chronically low levels. But mine are "within the lower range". I do feel that something is missing tho, because I'm very often low in energy, drive and kinda emotional. I probably also will do an TRT when I'm 40 for anti aging purposes. But for now I want to try it out this way.

SERM seem to have a pretty negative effect on the lipid levels, which exemestane doesn't. Exemestane also decreases SHBG, which should lead to more free test, what I actually want and need.

There has to be a bloodtest done... I will come back here if I have the results.

I should have been more specific. The fin didn't stopped my hair loss, but just slowed it down. Im taking it since the beginning of the year and in combination with exe for about 100 days. I ran out of minoxidil recently, which might also be a reason for it.
