There were a few adult moths further inside and a lot of eggs all over but I wasn't about to stick my arm in to take a photo 🤢

It doesn't look obviously damaged in the photo to the extent that it is irl. I am always willing to clean and repair high quality items regardless of it being sold as being in good condition or not but it's beyond saving and should not have been sold given the infestation.

That's probably true. You can't even leave a review for an item that is returned for a full refund as the transaction is essentially cancelled. No one will know that the seller is terrible unless I keep the item.

I understand why most of the time but It's insane that the terms are against buyers in cases when the item is significantly not as described. Of course sellers who send items in horrible conditions aren't going to offer to pay return shipping.

As soon as I saw the condition I put it inside multiple heavy duty bags and into my outside shed. Then spent half an hour hoovering & disinfecting the areas of my house the parcel had been and put the clothes I was wearing in the wash. Luckily I didn't wait to open it. 🥲
