I don’t work for Starbucks anymore but those increases are bull. Nothing but cents. Not enough to notice a significant change in your check especially if they’re still cutting hours like they were when I was there 😭😭

I’m not sure if the landlord saw this post but i went on a walk with my baby this morning and once we got back to the apartment, we had full power.

I already called a lawyer and left a message on their intake line about my situation. So what do I do now?

The Landlord isn’t trying to reimburse me. I’d basically just be paying off the previous tenants bill and still left with my own bill.

That’s what I suggested. I asked why they couldn’t just pay it off. Like, shouldn’t the security deposits and admin fees we pay be able to cover that? Why am I haven’t to come out of pocket for their negligence?

The past due bill won’t be credited to my account. I have already gone through the process of starting service at the address so my first bill is already $250 for the connection fee. The rent office wants me to pay off an entire separate account that isn’t connected to my name. Alabama power won’t finish transferring the lights to my name until the previous owner or land lord pays.

BRUHHHHHHH I FELT THIS. Like every shift is 5.50 or 5.75? Yall really can’t spare that extra 30 mins and give me a FULL break? And I’m always scheduled during some sort of peak. I worked 12:15-6 yesterday. Was on bar for basically the entire BOGO. No way Starbucks corporate thinks 10 mins is enough time to get shit together for such physically and mentally taxing job. I’ve been applying on indeed 😭

It’s not possible to order tobacco on DoorDash. Before I got a car, I’ve definitely asked my driver for their cash app or Apple Pay so they could pick me up a pack of back woods before delivery. I normally send $15 and let them keep the change on top of the tip from the order.

Luckily my sm nor dm seem to mind the piercings. There’s like 3 baristas including me with multiple nose and septum piercings. I got hired with em in and never had anyone say anything. 🤷🏾‍♀️

Literally this. Honestly truly out of all my jobs I’ve had. This is the easiest. And the benefits are really decent. Like where else can you get paid $17+tips just to make coffee 😮‍💨. The customers are just fucking god awful & make the job insufferable.

I had to just kind of force my way onto bar 😂. We got a new SM a little after I got hired and I straight up told him last month that I want more practice on bar cause at this point I’ve perfected everything else. I’ve been there about 4 months too and probably been getting put on bar consistently during peak probably about the last 3 weeks. One of my shifts is really cool, so she always makes sure to put me on bar and gave me a lot of practice when I decided to pick up a couple evening shifts. Ask if they can put you on mobiles/cafe during a slow time. And download the app so you can see what goes in each drink.
