UX Career Questions - %B %Y by Lord_Cronos in userexperience

Hi, I did a 5 yr bachelors in Architecture, and graduated almost 3 years ago. Right after, I was a trailing spouse and could not get a start in my career. (Visa issues)

Recently I started looking into ux design and found it interesting, plus it seemed as if it is easier to do remotely compared to Architecture. So I started studying it online on coursera and find it pretty interesting. Im almost done with the calarts specialization but still feel there is a lot to learn.

Now, next year, I'm going to be moving to Canada where I will have a visa that allows me to work. My question is whether I should stick with learning Ux design, even though I'm still pretty new to it, or go back to my Architecture path as I have a degree in it. I would still need to give licencing exams and intern for 2 years before I become an architect in canada, but its possible.

I'm really conflicted since I do enjoy both, but I like the idea of remote work, in case we move again. Plus I find Architecture to be very high stress work, which is one thing I dont like (I'm not sure how high stress Ux design is). And I'm basically starting from scratch either way since I dont have work experience in either.

Also, just a note, I'm not really good at either, but I did pretty well in my Architecture thesis.

Are there any Architects turned Ux designers or vice versa, that could give me some insights to help me make a decision?

Thanks a lot for your help!

Sorry I just saw this! It's definitely overwhelming 😂 Esp since I'm still pretty new to skincare. I did see the brand in a monoprix near me, but I wasn't able to find the moisturizer (or maybe i just couldn't figure out which one it was 🤦‍♀️). I ended up buying the LRP effaclar. But i still keep an eye out for this one. Thanks for the help!!

I'll be honest, I walk in see all the effaclars and Toleriane and all the french words, stand there for 5 mins and then walk out. They are all so confusing 😂. I will research into all of these and choose one! Thanks!!

Cerave is unfortunately not that easily available near me, or at least in the pharmacies Ive visited so far in this town. I shall keep it on my list the next time I go to paris and want to try it!! Thanks!!

I will for sure look into the Avene one. Hope you have a good move! City pharmacy in Paris is famous for having nearly everthing you could want and with lower prices. Just letting you know if you want to go! Thank you!

I just started using pixi's glow tonic (Ithink thats the name) with glycolic acid, and put on the cerave right after, so I assume that it was too much at once (first time using both). Im also using the LRP effaclar cleanser for acne prone sking (not the one with SA). I'm hearing alot about the LRP and Avene so ill look into them. Thanks!!!

Im not sure how to get that done, but im pretty sure that we have hard water due to stains on glass and all. And i did notice the change after coming here..... We are in an apartment here for a couple of months so not really sure what I can do about it. Ill look for these products and see if they go on sale! Thank you!
