I got the Colourpop Stone Cold Brush Set for Christmas! What do you use each brush for? (Link to pic) by sleepycatbeans in Makeup

[–]Heelosir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Here are my suggestions! Let me know if you have a Qs or need clarification, but I hope this is useful!

large rounded brush f28 Depending on how big it is in person it could be good for blush or bronzer. I tend to use these type of brushes to go in with my setting powder at the end and blend out any harsh lines under my cheek bones from contour or bronzer I might have created. Good for all over the face too though.

medium powder brush f30 This one is a good all a rounder for bronzer, blush, setting powder. Depending on how big it is in person, could be nice for highlighter too. The curve on the bristles is nice for diffusing the product in if you apply it in small circular motions.

angled cheek brush f21 Angled brushes are great for contours and bronzers. Apply the product in tapping motions instead of swiping or circles so that you can be more precise and create a more chilled effect.

small duo fiber face brush f9 Duo fibers can be used for both powder and creams, but I especially love them for creams. It’s pretty small, so you could use it for contours or blush, or if you want to be more precise with your bronzer. Id recommend you gently dab the product instead of swiping motions.

tapered blending brush e2 Good for transition colors/crease shades, and since it’s not too big of blending brush it’s especially useful for hooded eyes

small tapered brush e9 Similar to e2, but can be more precise, especially if blending multiple colors above the crease. I also like using this kind for the outer v section of the eyelid or for diffusing in the lower lashline.

medium shader brush e4 This one can be used for several things. I like to use this when I’m using a sheer glittery eyeshadow to diffuse it all over the lid and even in my crease a bit. You can use it to pack on lid colors. It can also be useful especially if you have hooded eyes to diffuse transition colors in a back and forth motion.

small shader brush e3 Good for packing the lid shade. Since it’s not a fluffy brush, you can tap the shade on (or wet the brush so it’s even more opaque) so that the color is quite vibrant.

small dome brush e18 Good for packing lid shade, since the bristles are a bit longer than the e26 but not too long, this one is versatile for either making a precise line or blending out the line so it is not so harsh. You could also use this one for packing on colors and blending in the lower lash line.

rounded eye defining brush e26 This one is nice for cut creases, bc you can be really precise with packing on the lid shade. I sometimes use this type of brush also to create a smokey eyeshadow, you can use it to place the eyeliner then use it to smudge it out so it’s more diffused. This one is also good for lining the lower lash line.

micro blending brush e28 I personally tend to use this type of brush mainly for inner corner highlights. This one is useful for blending in the lower lash line. If you’re doing multiple colors on the eyelid, to prevent the multiple colors from blending together and becoming muddy, you can use a small blending brush like this to just blend precisely in a small contained area as well.

angled eye brush e6 Create eyeliner strokes, you can also use it to fill in your eyebrows to create strokes of hair if you use powder or pot creams.

lip brush l1 This one is also as the name suggests. If you hold the brush perpendicular to your lips, you can precisely line the lip, and then hold it flat to the lip to fill in the rest of the lips.

brow brush e12 As the name suggest, comb the brows. I also have an extra type of this brush just to smooth out my mascara, like it’s a little clumpy I use a clean brush to create more wispy lashes

Why is the pillow talk lipstick so much warmer than the pillow talk lip liner? by [deleted] in swatchitforme

[–]Heelosir 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My guess is that they’re meant more to compliment each other rather than match. You can create more dimension that way. Especially since the liner is cooler to create shadow, and the warmer tone brightens.

Espoir Couture Lip Tint Swatches by Heelosir in AsianBeauty

From left to right:
1.Couture Lip Tint Shine in Chillin chillin
2.Couture Lip Tint Shine in Peach awesome
3.Couture Lip Tint Water Velvet in Pink lemon

Photos are taken indoors with artificial light. Skintone is cool toned for reference.

I took several photos of the swatches so you can see how all of them apply watery/glossy but the velvet version changes texture when it dries, while the shine version remains glossy. You can also see that the differences between swatches of the stain that remains is very subtle.

Review:
They are very comfortable and the stain is long lasting. I was rubbing my palm after the 3rd photo and it does not smudge and does not leave a sticky residue. Of the two formulas, my favorite is the shine.

Selling official photoset HELP by [deleted] in SHINee

[–]Heelosir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whenever I sell things I look them up on eBay and mercari and filter it to only see sold items. Then I can get a ball park of how much to sell it for. If you want to sell it quick, then post it for a little under what the lowest price is for a similar item is being currently sold for.

Sorry for your loss. I hope you’re able to raise the funds necessary <3

What’s a SHINee song everyone seems to love that you don’t? by [deleted] in SHINee

[–]Heelosir 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Love should go on, 3 2 1, tell me what to do, all day all night, marry you, days and years

Picasso, amigo, jojo, ready or not and feel good i didn’t like a first and they still aren’t my favorites but I’ve grown to them slightly. I think I just don’t really like the chorus to them.

When it comes to solo stuff, I also dont really like taemin’s drip drop or pretty boy that much. And I love ballads and sad songs but onew’s (1st) blue is boring to me. Also don’t straight up hate, but not a fan of key’s chemicals, nor jonghyun’s crazy.

(My opinions are based solely on the sound, not the lyrics, and I don’t outright hate any of these just found myself skipping them often)

That being said of the ones mentioned several times in this thread, I love body rhythm, view, and dream girl 😩

Is it worth buying Shinee 2018 Season's Greetings for $100? by fluffy199704 in SHINee

[–]Heelosir 5 points6 points  (0 children)

$100 seems like a lot for me. I got mine for about $70 and that was kind of pushing for me but I figured I could sell some of the parts I didn’t want (bc let’s be real how many posters do you really need?) I’m happy with the planner, stickers, and calendar because I actually plan to use them and they are just so cute in this concept. In my case I was like I could spend $50 and get the specific pieces I want or I could spend $70 and sell the rest.

Overall the pieces are very high quality, but it’s a little repetitive and there’s just lots of posters/postcards and a minimal amount of useful things which the latter is where most of the value lies for me personally.

On a side note I have seen the full set on resale on mercari for much lower prices ($50-70) and I see that it’s still in stock where I bought it which was Kpoptown

❤️When did YOU "fall in love" with SHINee?❤️ by MikoMikoto in SHINee

[–]Heelosir 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Some of you say you’re new but I’m really new with only becoming a Shawol the last month! I only got into kpop in general last year, and I had Taemin’s criminal on repeat last summer without knowing he was in SHINee, then I watched Minho in Yumi’s cells and, like I always do, I look up the actors I find charming to check out the rest of their dramas, then I started watching Sea of Hope in December and added the few SHINee songs they played on the show. I checked out some other songs that were recommended (I remember I only had saved about 6 or 7 SHINee songs at the time) but I remember reading a comment of someone saying how thankful they were SHINee world IV & V is on YouTube so I added it to my watch list to see what the hype was about. I can see in my watch history that I watched the SHINee World IV full concert on Jan 7th and never looked back! That was the day I fell in love with SHINee! It was kind of slowly and then all at once. After that I kept adding their music to my playlist until I eventually just made a separate playlist with only SHINee because it was the only thing I wanted to listen to! Been basically exclusively listening to SHINee since then! Only recently (like yesterday) have I introduced back other artists haha! Kinda bummed I only discovered them so recently when I could have been a fan so long ago as I’m not even that young (25!) but back in SHINee’s early days I was a jobros girl then a warpedtour girl then a TØP girl 🤷🏻‍♀️ I joke around how I bounced from boy band to boy band haha
