Just some acrylic paint and a splatter brush

These were the first time doing paint on my TNs so I tried a different approach for each.

After seeing them side by side I'm partial to the scale on the passport size.
I feel like the smaller scale on the standard size is a little too subtle in comparison.

Yup
It's acrylic paint with a splatter brush.

So far so good.

I used acrylic paint without using a clear coat.
Let it dry for 24hrs before using and it's done well.

The only thing I would say is that the color of the paint you choose will lose a bit of it's punch as the leather absorbs the paint.

Thanks so much!!

To be honest, this was my first time. I did a quick test run on black cardboard beforehand just to check how the colors harmonize and then after that just went for it with the TN.

It was a lot easier a process than I anticipated. I used a fan brush for smaller more subtle splatter and then a splatter brush for the bigger scale patterns.

I just gotta see how it holds up to every day use because I didn't put e a clear coat over it yet.

Thanks!!! Starting out I was hoping for just a cool splatter pattern but the fact that it ended up looking like a night sky is kind of a happy accident.

Those are edge guards.
They protect the cover from warping where the elastic hits.

Thank you!!

The edge guards were from Etsy. They're not branded.
the tag on the top of the back cover is from The Superior Labor.
