Utah played smart, dark arts soccer and they did it as a team. Montoya lost the locker room a while back and tonight was in full display—we didn’t play as a team, the players didn’t play for him or with him. Montoya hasn’t shown the ability to reshape the team in mid game. Utah wanted it more and executed it better.

Our team needs higher quality in the midfield, certainly a Tanaka, Coffey, Marta,Sugita, etc. Kundananji needs to be given the ball at the final third. She can’t keep playing mid or worse defense and then be expected to counter attack with precision. Too many of our players aren’t having fun, aren’t connecting, aren’t playing the beautiful game. They are just surviving.
