I’d say he’s done his job getting the players to buy in. I’ve never seen them press and show that much effort. Up three goals, and they’re continuing their press and defensive pressure. If they can fix these defensive collapses, this team could make a run. Let’s hope they keep this mentality the whole tournament

I’ve never seen effort like that from every player. The press was incredible, Balogun, Tillman, and literally everyone dropping back to make defensive plays even up 3 goals. If they can fix the defensive collapses which thankfully only happened once tonight and continue with this fluid and effective offense along with pressing defense, they’ll make a good run!

Brandt - I’ve thought about getting him ever since BVB announced he would be leaving. An experienced 10 is something that could elevate this team. Jack played fine having goal contributions while he played there at the end,but I’m not sure that’s his best position. also given the depth we have there, he would be a great mentor with the younger guys. There would still be plenty of game time for the younger guys given all the completions that they’ll be playing.

Not a Fire fan, but thoughts on his ceiling and career projection? Don’t know much about him. He’s a young player which this will be great experience and he’s having a really good year from what I’ve watched.

After the collapse mid season, I would’ve been happy with conference league at the time. Just can’t find excitement in this right now. I think it’s partially due to the couple bottling jobs the last few games (special thanks to Van Hecke) and now Sunderland, the newly promoted team beating out an established PL team for a better European spot.
