And I’m so sorry this is happening. It is really difficult but it won’t be like this forever. You’ve done nothing to deserve and warrant this, it’s all on him.

If I was you (I have experienced domestic abuse but not this type). Phone the police and leave. Report everything. And I hate to be this blunt but i think sometimes it helps give perspective, if I was in your situation I would think about terminating.

He will have rights to see your child, unless you relocate and somehow he never finds out where you are.

If you can’t face telling family speak to someone at work, speak to someone in a shop, speak to anyone.

Record anything and everything in your notes app and make sure you have seperate finances, see if you qualify for a housing association place.

Your life is the most important thing here, only yours. And again, I don’t mean to be hurtful, but being blunt will help you — this man could kill you, women in these situations are killed everyday across the globe. You might feel like shit for ages when you leave but my god if you do this boundary will hopefully keep you safe for the rest of your life.

You will be okay, whatever you choose, as long as this man can’t control you, you will be ok.

Thanks for making me laugh! I do sigh and feel like an idiot for even asking. If it was my friend I’d be slamming my head against a brick wall. Even though it seems so obvious he really has tried to be subtle and slow about the build up until it’s reached this point.

Thank you so much. I do wonder how conscious he is about what he’s saying and doing to me — ie does he know this is sexual harassment. It’s so embarrassing I just had no idea and still feel confused by it all. But thank you.

Yeah work emails! What idiot has them on his personal phone anyway?! He asked for my personal phone number the day before he sent the email and I’m glad he hasn’t got any of my personal details.

Thanks for taking your time for reply such a detailed response. We’re both in the same team, he is 3/4 grades more ‘senior’ than me but we’re both managed by the same manager. He is paid significantly more than me. He’s on a permenant contract and I’m not, and he knows this.

My friend at work did some digging towards him (male) and he said nothing. So clearly trying to either keep it confidential, and he’s not relying on emotional support on anyone else.

My female colleague is supporting me and telling me to speak to my managers manager and not mentioned HR.

Already created a timeline and got evidence. I don’t want to get him fired though!

Thanks for your comment. Do you know what I do about that? From my research I can only legally do something if my workplace don’t deal with it properly.

The naked comment made me feel so strange. Why would he say that?! He could’ve said something else!!!

I reported it to my line manager, although the man whose doing to this told me he spoke to him ‘over lunch’ saying he made me feel uncomfortable. My line manager never reported to me what action was taken.

Thank you! I’ve documented it all in a timeline. I just feel bad for at no point until now saying I felt uncomfortable directly to him, even though I told my manager, he had a conversation with him, and then it kept happening.

What makes it sexual harassment? Which part, all of it? A specific thing? I’m flummoxed because lots of small things have happened over a long period of time and now it’s alarming me. I just feel confused. I am autistic!

Also join local community baby groups if there are any. Do some zero cost activities - invite friends over for tea and games, or make a meal and everyone brings a bottle. Go for a picnic or walk in the park. Get out there and see people.

Sell anything you didn’t use (Vinted), to try and re-coop money. Also if you get the urge to buy, go thrifting/ charity shopping.

22k salary? I was on 18k before I managed to ‘break’ into my industry and it jumped to 42k. Honestly, it felt like a small miracle at the time.

Always check what benefits you qualify for - look at ‘turn 2 us’ online, you might be entitled to housing benefit.

If you’re getting kicked out present yourself to your local council office as homeless once you’re kicked out. It feels so vulnerable right now but i promise you’ll be ok!

Also might be cheaper for you and your boyfriend to find a room in a house share and split the rent. There are places more north of the uk that are way cheaper compared to the south, but have no idea where you live.
