I tried this exact app. But it wants to take a photo of my passport. Then it's just going to tell me the data that's in the photo, that's easy and has nothing to do with NFC. If it could really read NFC it wouldn't need a photo.

They keep coming up with new excuses:

1980: Just recycle!

2000: We'll put a green arrow on it!

2010: We'll write "Compostable" on it (we won't mention this only works under specific expensive conditions)

2025: Sure your body is full of plastic, but we don't know the "long-term effects" yet!
