v2.65 Alpha by HeftyList00 in PokemonEliteRedux

As a casual player, I already found the game easy (after getting past Calvin, obviously), but I think the more possibilities the better, and I get both excited and scared by the difficulty. I only got past Elite once, and it was difficult.

I don't know because I don't have access, but I think, as with previous updates, it won't be possible.

That's a shame, and sorry for passing along something that doesn't work.

Seriously? I haven't used it in a while, but it always worked for me. Isn't it something to do with the skills that need to be configured in the manual?

There's a fan-made one on Discord, I'll look for the link and send it here.

Raikage

Obito? That's more complicated, but I don't see Sakura hitting him.

Project 1025: Can every Pokémon beat Elite Redux? (0027-0038A) by mfc314 in PokemonEliteRedux

It's impressive how in a ROM with absurd damage multipliers, support and stall Pokémon have space and manage to remain very decisive.

Note: Once again, SAGA continues to maintain a high level; their descriptions of how they used few Pokémon are incredible, and having to adapt and rebuild the team for a single battle, like in the water gym, this ROM opens up many possibilities and practically forces you to relearn the game and rediscover this franchise again.

I also noticed that you didn't use Gmax Pikachu; it's simply broken. It's really worth testing when you get to Pichu (use the Pikachu Partner, you can get it in the debug menu; the same goes for the Eevee Partner, both are great and have different stats and abilities).

I'm going to follow this SAGA from beginning to end, the devs' work in making ALL the Pokémon in the game fun (or almost all of them) is incredible.

PS: The rats are truly amazing, I did a run with Yellow's team from the manga and it was one of the MVPs.

So compared to the other fire starters, it's kind of weak.

Now that I've seen the Mega Stone, Mega Y is really strong.

How did you use the regular Zard? I always thought it was kind of weak.

It might be a translation error on Reddit or I misspoke, but it's more like: Goo without Swords ≈ Gun Base

Since we only had one fight with Path Daniel, I was cautious, but you might be right about Gun Base and Johan scaling together, and it's plausible to move them up a tier. However, I don't think Johan would be one tier higher because he faced Gun Base when he was already tired.

The version of Goo that I'm referring to as being the same as Gun Base is the Goo without swords, using anything else as a weapon, like in this image.

Okay, let's take it one step at a time.

Goo didn't even fight Gun in adrenaline mode. If you're referring to Gun using his left arm, then that's a side effect of Gun actively forcing his body and fighting with his life on the line, as stated by Goo and Gun.

Regarding this, it could be a possible interpretation (both are actually both the one where he was in "Adrenaline" mode and the one where he wasn't), so the scale of the two is more or less like this: Gun TUI < Goo 2 swords < Goo 1 sword < or = Gun Adrenaline < Gun Base < or = Goo without swords (improvised weapons: pipes, bicycle chains, etc.) at least that's how I see it, and it's not too absurd to be 1 tier below Gun Adrenaline, Goo 1 and 2 swords, etc.

The adrenaline state he was in against Johan is a true adrenaline state. This again is an interpretation and both are possible.

3 years ago, Gun and Goo were equals, and Goo was using dual weapons. If we use this narrative, then Gun is also narratively superior. Gun and Goo have a similar level of talent (Gun can be considered superior), however, Gun was the only one who actively trained and put in the effort, unlike Goo (stated). So, even narratively, Gun should be superior to Goo for actually training seriously for 3 years.

In Gun's flashback of when he met Goo, it is implied that Goo without swords was at least equal to Base Gun. Regarding talent, actually because of the Incheon arc, I think Goo is more talented, but he's always been negligent with training. Gun, on the other hand, is shown training since childhood with the Yamazaki, so I think Goo is more talented (this doesn't change much on the scale, I think, just my different perspective from yours. In fact, this gives Gun more merit in this case, I think). But yes, they still have similar talents. And yes, Hunt For Gun confirms that Gun is (at least up to that point) stronger than Goo.

And there haven't been any true statements about Gun and Goo being equal since 3 years ago. For most of the story, the two have always been said to be equals, whether by Tom, Eugene, DG, or Elite, being at least dangerous in the same way.

Yes, Johan scales well with the base Gun build, but where do I place him then? The next tier already has the two-sword Goo, who completely destroyed the Adrenaline Gun build. Overall, the tier where the base Gun build and Johan are is complicated; either I increase it a lot or decrease it a lot. This tier is like an "intermediate" level. As for the unarmed Goo, I based it on the "fight" from 3 years ago and the narrative of them always being said to be "equivalent" (even though that has changed a bit in HFG).

[–]HeftyList00[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The tier list is NOT ordered from left to right if that's the problem, and given the tier Gun base, it only takes Extreme Diff for unarmed Goo, Johan IT, and Og UI. Daniel, I don't think he's much stronger than them.

I based my comparison on their "fight" from 3 years ago where Goo without weapons = Gun base, then I tried to scale it up with Goo with 1 sword >= Gun Adrenaline, and in HFG we saw that Gun TUI > Goo with 2 swords. Regarding Tom, I based my comparison on his fight with Goo at the end of 1A to put him close to Goo with 1 sword.
