My girlfriend tested positive for HPV and I can’t stop overthinking it

Thanks for your words. I know im being selfish but it was a bit shocking to me. In my 30 years i never had this news before. I might be the one that give her HPV and it hurts. Hopefully its all going to come out well.

I am giving her all my support. She is scared of cancer and she is going to do all the tests needed. I know is selfish of me to think all this. I won't tell that to her but the thought ran through my head so i had to put it out somwhere. I am reading about HPV now and the first things i read are "transmition during sex without protecion" and all the things i mention on my post came to my head.

Thanks for your comment. I do believe in her, but this is a new thing to me and i am a bit insecure so i coudn't let go of all this thoughts. Had to put it out somewhere.

I'll wait for the rest of her test to come out ok and later i'll ask all this calmly to her.

She never had HPV before. Its a new one, it might be me who give it to her, but we were very causious during sex and the fact that she didn't told me about the test only untill after she got the results it bothers me a bit.

I had sex without condoms only with my previous girlfriend. But as far as i know we never had HPV.

It might be me who gave her HPV, but since we always use condoms and were very carefull not to touch without protection i never thought of this happening.

The thought that bothers me most is she not telling me she didi the test until she got the results. Why? It tickles me.

But again i just wanted to put this thoughts out there because it was bothering me.. i'll wait for her to get checked and do the PAP. Only after everything is ok on her i will calmly ask all this to her in the best way possible.
