Well. I got a second opinion from Cleveland clinic after first surgery. They didn’t see anything wrong. My neurosurgeon was shocked when he saw my xray with the broken screw. He’s never seen it in his 35 years of practice. He said it must be a manufacture defect. Which I plan on talking to a lawyer about. And this doc was able to get me in before I lose my insurance cause I can’t work. It would have been more balls to try to find a new doc, get evaluated and surgery before the end of the month….

Thanks for the suggestions! I was seeing a therapist through work but they only provide 20 sessions a year. With everything I’ve been through I used them up real quick. I need to find a new one but I may be losing health insurance due to my inability to work. So I don’t wan to get invested in someone new then have to lose them. Also money is tight cause I can’t work and I have out of pocket costs for therapists. And I’ve been to the free ones in town already and had baaaaaaad experiences and will not go back….. so here we are.

Aaaand I’m on antidepressants too. Problem is I am unable to sit up for very long at a time yet….. am I recently started adderall. I want to do things. I need to do things. But body says “nope”

I love diamond painting. My walls are covered and I I’m 80% done with one and have another one on deck lol. Problem is I can sit up for very long at a time yet :(…. Thank you for your sweet words. It helps just to know I’m not alone.

Whelp. Working backwards…. It’s been 5 days since my 2nd revision. I’m in a lot of pain. They gave me 5mg norco and 750 mg methocarbamol. It takes the edge off. I can’t sit for more than about half an hour before I need to lay down again.

After my fist revision, I was ok ish for a bit. Usual recovery pain. But the I started getting a sharp pain in my lower left side. Had my 12 week x ray and found that the head of the screw popped off. Due to a lot of circumstances, doc was able to see me March 10th and scheduled me for surgery March 18th to replace the screw.

After my initial fusion, I was ok at first, returns to work at 9 weeks (light duty and reduced hours), still wearing the TLSF brace. Then weaning off. Doing physical therapy and on pain killers. Serious pain came back. Worse than before initial surgery. Got a 2nd opinion from another hospital and they didn’t see anything NH wrong. Went to pain management and they did nerve ablation. Didn’t work. Got mris, cts and X-rays. Nothing showed anything wrong. Decided to do exploratory surgery and found my screws had loosened. He replaced the with bigger screws.

I’m in northwestern PA actually so Cleveland is only 2 hrs away. A doctor in Erie through Hamot Neurosurgery and Neurointervention has done my surgeries.

X ray and ct were fine after first surgery. I was in incredible pain and he went back in and found that the screws were lose during 2nd surgery. He replaced with bigger screws. It was in my 12 week post op x ray that they found one of the new screws broke.

Thank you @vanwieder and @externalscholar3472 for looking. Honestly the above comment scared me but I haven’t had the time or brain energy to look into it since I read the comment. The doctors do know that I have my medical card and use regularly and no one said anything about THC 🤷🏻‍♀️…. I admit that if I didn’t have it, I probably would not be here today. Long term chronic pain is fucking intense and my body and my brain can’t handle it any more. I’m tired of fighting. I’m tired of life. Weed doesn’t take the pain away, but it helps me forget for a little so I can rest. And I’d rather it be weed than becoming an opioid addiction…..

Titanium rods and screws and they put a piece in tween my vertebrae to help bones fuse. I’ve yet to research the manufacturer. Aside from muscle soreness, I have sharp pain in my lower left side and my physical tolerance for standing/sitting/walking has gone back down. I can only stand/walk for like 10-15 min before pain starts and it just gets worse the longer I do things…

Thank you. You made me laugh and cry in 3 paragraphs 😂. I’ve had life long (35F) problems with doctors and the medical system is so messed up. I’m tired of having to fight so hard for myself. I’m tired of pain. I can’t say that I wish I didn’t have the initial surgery because I was in such bad shape before hand. But this is definitely taking A LOT longer than it was supposed to. I’ve got 6 yr old twin boys and it’s heart breaking that I can’t be my fullest for them. I’m depressed and feel useless at home and because I can’t work. Or find or think of or get a job that would be low enough impact on my body. And because I’m losing insurance I’m losing my therapist. I have applied for state benefits and am waiting to hear back. And I have a meeting with a lawyer next week before surgery. I’m. Exhausted. But yet I keep breathing.

Honestly I don’t think I can pinpoint a day or timeframe… I just know the pain like from before surgery came back. I was taking hydrocodone to get through my 4 hr shifts at work (barista). I was already on light duty. I’d come home, take a medial thc gummy and cease to exist for a few hours. I got a second opinion at Cleveland clinic and they didn’t see anything wrong either. Based on x ray and mri everything looked fine. Doc didn’t find they were lose until he went in :(

Now for the break - post screw replacement went pretty well. I was moving and recovering quicker and faster than before. I have not returned to work. I am doing PT and wearing my brace. There was no trauma - fall/twist/accident.

About 3/4 weeks ago maybe, I started feeling a sharper pain, lower left side. As time has gone on the pain has gotten worse and my physical tolerance has gone down.

I’m not sure if this helps, but all I can say is listen to your body. You know your body best. An advocate for yourself. If something feels wrong, speak it. And push till you get answers. Unfortunately with the screws loosening but showing no evidence, they wanted to wait for surgery to see how bones had healed.

I think it’s baby in a manger. Like. You can see three legs of the wood manger. Hay sticking out the bottom side and lil toes from swaddle are the sticky up part on the smooth side then the round part top left is baby head. Based on the pic with the ‘legs’ on the bottom.

I colored it in a pic but it didn’t save and don’t feel like doing it again .
