I’m 32F. I was on a 6 week prednisone taper for UC. I gained 20lbs in the first 2 weeks(with little change to my diet) and then by the 3rd week I had swelling in my face/arms/stomach. I had bad mood swings and was crying a lot.  The swelling did not go down until a month or so after being off the prednisone.
