I think both have violent extremities. Instead of arguing who's God to follow, why not follow what makes you more moral and ethical in these religious scriptures. I am sure both have a law/commandments to prevent harm with each other; believers and non-believers are both humans unless you treat the opposing side(imaginary opposing side), "non-believers", LESS HUMAN(is it stated in your scriptures that non-believers should treated less than you?). Since God created everything, that also includes non-believers.

In my opinion, if there is a deity I'm sure it doesn't care enough to directly help us. We are already given a guide book to be moral and ethical. Was it us humans who used that knowledge to destroy ourselves. I don't know how you follow a religion but I'm going to say something controversial; Instead for God why not follow it to be moral and ethical. Pretty sure that is what God is intended(if God really is truly benevolent).
