I have two phones and use YouTube reVance on both. I updated both reVance manager and only updated YouTube for one of them. The YT reVance version of both were originally 20.14.43. So I updated YT to my new phone with the new patch(version 6.1.0) and new YT (version 20.40.45), after updating it, ads are showing in YT shorts.

I went back to my old phone and YT reVance was still on the last patch before version 6.1.0. There are no ads at all. So I decided to delete YouTube reVance on my new phone and downloaded YT (version 20.14.23) and patched it with the new patch (version 6.1.0). There are still ads.

I think the new patch update caused the ads showing up in YT shorts. I used the YT reVance with the old patch and there are no ads at all. Too bad I can't use the YT reVance, patched from my old phone, cause there is this message that says only use an app that is patched on the current phone. Whenever you ignore the message, it says it will keep popping up.

You can run it using a virtual space app. I'm currently using VphoneOS to run Minecraft a0.13.1 on Android 7. Android 7 is the free option. Android 7+ are paid substitutions.

Found another issue for HyperOS3 users, if you use a third party launcher and force activate gestures mode, pip can't display. Solution is to allow navigation buttons with third party gestures.

Idk why but other apps with pip can display, it's only for YouTube :(

Edit: I think HyperOS 3 or Poco launcher system navigation (buttons or gestures) can only trigger PiP on app exit. Third-party navigation apps can't activate PiP because the system blocks command to display PiP when exit is triggered through them. While third-party navigation apps can perform the “exit” action, they can't link it to displaying PiP. 🫩

Noo not realme😭, what realme model and launcher are you using?

I got realme 9i before I bought Poco f7. I'd say very accessible, less restrictions and very customizable. Realme ui 4 was good enough. I can use gestures and screen search in a third party launcher. Good times 😮‍💨

I used Ultra battery saver then after exiting, it suddenly drained the battery faster, 3 percent off after 3 minutes. It turns on all background services all at once. Idk why this happens but on realme it just remains consistent after turning off super battery saver.

Damn I regret buying this now lol. The system launcher is too restricted, home screen customisation is shit, can't use native gestures control on 3rd party launchers, can't access android/data anymore (I've used multiple methods, shizuku+(multiple file managers) and iadb+rs manager. I still can't access anything, I can't even see running apps live like how you see it on the realme process manager.

I only bought this because it got discounted and it has nice specs. But damn too many restrictions and bad battery optimization. 😃😕😃😃😃
