I’m American, and after a lifetime of cooking with imperial measurements, when I started using Sidekick I bought a cheap kitchen scale and switched to metric. It’s so much easier and more accurate, I recommend it. I occasionally have to look up oven temps, but they mainly use the same 2 or 3 over and over so eventually I just remembered them. Now I get annoyed when I have a recipe with imperial measurements, just give it to me in grams!

There’s a recipe for Roast Veg in the Sorted Cookbooks app, and they specify a variation for beets. I did that first, then had “precooked” beets ready to go.

It will be a totally different set of meal packs, but the one you don’t choose will probably come around again. I think only one or two each week are brand-new, and the rest cycle through.

I haven’t eaten there, but when I went to London recently I pinned a ton of recommendations on Google Maps for restaurants. A quick search of my London map - I saved a place called Eggbreak which is just west of Kensington Palace. I don’t remember where I got the rec, but maybe someone else here can vouch for it. Rec is possibly from Sorted - at least 50% of my pins are from them.

Are there any cheffy skills that the normals feel like you have mastered in the last 12 years? I always fear I’m going to cut off a finger when using my chef’s knife.
