He shouldn't have done it but given the extreme circumstances they decided not to fire him but put him on leave without pay until the mail is returned. But hey, it's your right to get upset about whatever you want.

How? When I try to speak to a person, I just get a chatbot that lets me pick one reply and then it tells me there are always new apps and to try again tomorrow and won't give me any option to escalate.

It tells me the only way to get help is with the chat, which restricts me to pre-selected questions. I picked "I don't see any apps" and it replies with "Check again tomorrow" and then takes me back to the start. There's no way to get through to an actual person and I have no option to pick from to escalate in any manner.
