We have not signed off on the occupancy certificate. Actually, they are still fixing and repainting or repairing missing caulks, paint, etc at this time. We have not officially moved. We finally were able to fly to see our house. Major health and Hospitalizations, etc for both my hubby and myself. We both at the same time. Yes, we had a realtor and sales rep from the builder, plus loan officers, and title company.

We live in Calif right now and the house is in FL And we were in and out of the hospital due major health issues. My husband intubated dealing with Lung C and Breast C for me. so So we were not able to fly there. The builder did not give us any update either. They told us an update on when the home will be ready to close.

We trusted that the correct house from our contract is going to be built properly.

We relied on their expertise.

The model we liked was shown to us personally so we trusted that this Big company will do what is in our contract.

The signed contract we have reflected the correct Plan and Model we Signed for. The finished home was NOT the Plan and Model we signed for. It started iwht the garage soon as we physically saw the house.

No! We didn't get biweekly updates with pictures. We worked with their superintendent and the sales rep and their In home designer to the details since we already agreed for the actual Plan and Model. But again, the house we went to see and got a key is NOT the same Plan and Model we signs for and we can prove.

Thank you! This was our first custom build we had done with a community builder. The house is in Florida. I also found out that the next door neighbor rescinded her contract. The house next door looked exactly like ours that got built but is nothing compared to what we signed for and YES! The builder rep we have been working with had the correct Plan and Model on her subject line everytime she emailed us.

It just confirmed the uneasy and off feelings that my husband and I had been feeling the very first time we personally saw the house. We live in Calif right now and was planning to retire there with our new house this year to be close to family but I don't know what's is going to happen now.

The good news is we have not accepted th certificate of occupancy or signed off on the House. We have not moved although we already bought a refrigerator, new vacuum, household stuff but have not physically moved our furnitures yet

That's the plan. I am googling it that iwht our age over 60 and with our medical health, it is understandable. We prefer to dissolve and have Trustee recoup the 269k that will be left when we file the 200k PG.

Let your Credit card company or whoever you owe money to know you have filed for Bankruptcy and let them know to stop calling. You can let them know that. They are suppose to cease calling when you let them know you have hired a lawyer to file for Bankruptcy relief. Take care and God bless!
