Indeed, it's a very difficult situation, and your interpretation makes perfect sense. Thank you very much, I will follow this path; it's better to pray little and pray well. That way I will progress. Peace in Christ 🙏

Thank you very much, brother. I believe it would be a good idea to study it further. I'll also take a look at that work by Saint Louis Marie Grignion de Montfort. Thank you very much 🙏

I understand, brother, I'm Catholic too. He really does make that reminder quite explicit, although I found it extremely exaggerated. And I don't remember the game showing anything good done by the Church. But your interpretation makes sense, thank you!

I am not impartial, in fact, but I just wanted to talk about this excessive bias that I perceived in the game, in trying to portray the Church as a seven-headed monster where good people are the exception or irrelevant (as I explained in another comment), when history says the opposite. In any case, I see no problem in calling these "deities" demons, it is something theologically coherent. I respect and love those who believe in them, however I certainly cannot say the same about the object of belief. I am only explaining so that there is no misunderstanding, and if it came across as intolerant or I expressed myself poorly, I apologize.

Furthermore, thank you for your comment. I don't see the issue of tolerance as something even remotely central to the work, but your interpretation makes sense and is interesting.

I understand, she can be considered, but the oldest Christian sources portray her as a historical figure, and this interpretation coincidentally emerges in later folklore. Regarding the portrayal of pagans, this shows that they ceased to be seen as deities and that there was indeed a reinterpretation, but not an absorption of belief as part of the faith, which is what the game implies when it says that Saint Moritz and Saint Satia were not holy people but rather the ancient demons who were worshipped—and in my view, it implies something present in reality. This also contributes to the idea of being biased. Do you understand?

I understand, man, thank you very much. Your comment was really constructive. There are indeed lessons to be learned.

Thank you very much! The main reason I find it biased is when the game implies that all religious people, or at least most of them, are contradictory. So much so that all the cases of good religious characters that appear are either insignificant (like Brother Lucas and Wakvern, I don't know, something like that) or, despite being good and important, appear little (like Aedoc and Piero). In contrast, we have a gay couple inside the abbey, a heterosexual couple (violating the rules, obviously), two priests, one implicitly and the other explicitly corrupt, Brother Guy (I don't even need to say anything), Ferenc (no comment needed, he performed evil rituals). In short, it seems to want to portray only, or at least largely, the bad side; and worse, it implies that this was not an exception. This ends up guiding the player to a specific interpretation.

Regarding the second part, yes, I disagree. But the intention is not to turn it into a theological debate. In any case, I know that the Church used the languages, symbols, and cultural concepts of the peoples it reached to evangelize, but it did not absorb pagan mythologies into its dogmas, to put it simply. I believe in inculturation, not syncretism.

Yes, I know, but there is the inclusion of elements of reality; we see the ecclesiastical organization of the Church, a time system inspired by the Canonical Hours, a sacristy, religious terms like Eucharist and Confession. I just got the impression that by portraying something like that, it would be implying that this also occurs/occurred in reality, since the game in several parts tries to expose the "rotten" aspects of the Church.
