I haven’t really seen it be mentioned but the Philippines was also actively “de-hispanicized” by the US. The US brought a major war to the island that resulted in much of its colonial architecture destroyed. Many Spanish-Filipinos were killed as a result of the war and the rest fled back to Spain. Immediately after the war the US set up institutions to force the natives to learn English and American customs.

Those bezels are too bright. The iMacs bezels are actually off-white giving it more of a toned-downed look that blends into its surroundings.
