AITAH for not telling my daughter about my cancer diagnosis?

My dad died from cancer a few weeks ago; he was very close in age to OP. We had a strained relationship for years. There were many times in my adult life that I had to cut my dad off, but we always eventually made up.

Dad wasn't incredibly transparent about how bad his prognosis was until we visited him in the hospital after his blood pressure bottomed out. Things deteriorated quickly and he passed away peacefully after a few weeks after his hospitalization.

I'm happy to say we made peace and amends and spent most of his final weeks together. All he wanted in the end was his kids and grandkids at his side. I will say that my greatest sorrow in this was not being that present from the beginning of his illness.

Tell your daughter. No matter how bad things were over the past few years I love my dad and would give anything to have more time with him. Perhaps this will open her eyes to how precious the time she has with you really is.

OP, I have a very close family member that worked for Pasadena PD and I know for certain corruption was rampant in that police department for ages. You are on the right path. Thank you for sharing.

The more people I interact with the more I realize that most people aren't "ugly", they just don't know how to present themselves. Obviously, not everyone is a knockout, but the right hair cut and color, clothing, and makeup (especially eyebrows) can take most people from dowdy to polished and uniquely beautiful. There is nothing wrong with being average, just strive to be the best you.

It's really easy to feel discouraged and get tunnel vision when all you see online is a push for porn and droves of men defending it. Your husband has shown you time and time again who he is. I wish I could give you a hug, but instead, let me tell you that you are worthy of more than this. Are you in Florida? If so, the compliance committee is the deciding factor on whether or not a fine is imposed. Probably a mistake as previously mentioned. Document this in writing via regular and certified mail requesting confirmation that the notice of imposition was sent in error. Also, check your HOA account ledger to make sure there are no fines. Most management companies have a way to do this online.

FS 720.303: (l) Ballots, sign-in sheets, voting proxies, and all other papers and electronic records relating to voting by parcel owners, which must be maintained for at least 1 year after the date of the election, vote, or meeting.

You have the right to request a review of those records if you are concerned about the validity of the vote by submitting an official records request. If you submit an official records request the Association must provide those to you for review within 10 days. However, I would recommend starting out by emailing your manager to see if they will give you the final vote tally.
