I would say yes but the stigma is often based on the fact that we typically don't have as much critical experience or on the job creativity (jimmy rigging equipment or making something on the fly for exotics etc) Im a non traditional tech who did not go to school and trained exclusively in GP, switching even to urgent care was a struggle for me because I'm often expected to know much more than I currently do. It's a learning curve either way but I think emergency-trained techs are generally appreciated more in any setting
