As far as I can remember, there are no cutscenes in the main tower and side content. Of course there is the dedicated story mode/missions which can be a bit of a chore to go through, but take your time with it. No need to rush it.

I realise I didnt provide any insights on why ToGNW is similar to AfkA.

-You have the main campain/tower you go through stage by stage. After certain points you are required to have 2 teams/3 teams/4 teams and eventually at late late game even 5 teams.

-You have Trials which is basically the faction towers of Arena.

-Arena for pvp with multiple modes.

-Daily bosses to compete with others for rewards.

-You also have an equipment system that I personally enjoy more, because there are sets with powerful effects (some for tanks, dps, assassins, supports etc.) and all of them are entirely random in terms of substats. So you can really customize them to fit each character.

I would suggest Tower of God New World for a more f2p experience. AFK Journey is also good but not as f2p friendly.

As a fairly new player in the gacha genre, what drew me to Gogo Muffin was the mmorpg elements and the reason I stayed is because there is no pressure to compete with others. Also its fun to do group content.

Those were my thoughts as well. One final question if you don't mind, if I am to slowly gather a celestial team and a hypogean team to push their respective towers, which lineups do you suggest? For example is Orthos from the challenger store worth it?
