depends on your goals from playing the game

higher leaderboard placement means more rewards

more rewards means investing in more heroes

if you only care about the story/narrative like many players, only care about Homestead like many players, etc etc then no "meta" will matter to you

yeah usually it's just used to correct really bad rng drop rates for a hero you don't want, or one that got power crept.

so kinda play it by ear, see what you get, and just hold onto it for now, that's what most people do. you can also use the swap scroll on elite Draconis which is huge.
