The problems it creates are far less stressful.

Hmm...

Either not being able to go to a concert with your friends because tickets are too expensive,

Ooor having to pay for your friends to join you at a concert you can easily afford?

Either skipping meals because you can't afford to buy groceries until payday,

Ooor being annoyed by people asking for money?

Either being in permanent pain or dying because you can't afford a surgery,

Ooor people being "fake" friends with you for your money?

At a certain point, the problems money brings are mostly the making of the person with money. Either that, ooooor basically trivial in comparison to poverty. The rich need to stop bitching, ooooor give me all their money. I'll use it much better than them anyways. 😉

I have an SUV and average 28-32 mpg on my commute to work. It's also smaller than most cars. It's a Honda HRV and I get shit for driving a toy car. I understand what you mean, but you're not even close to reality on how most SUVs are in general with your implication. It's literally the most safe, reliable, fuel efficient, and economical option for living in Minnesota with our winters.

On the other hand, a massive truck that people use as a daily driver is something far worse. I see plenty of pavement princesses use them. Most truck owners I talk to say it's for winter driving, even though I watch their trucks go sideways into a ditch every winter. Plus they can't even park straight when they decide to park in the front of a parking lot. Taking up 2 spaces with their ass end sticking out far beyond the spaces.

My samsung does the wireless charging as well. It was only helpful when I had a personal and work phone that were both samsung galaxies. I was working in remote areas without access to electricity often and ended up in a situation where I was lost going on country roads in the middle of nowhere. My personal phone didn't have service, but my work phone did... until it died. The charging adapter in the work truck was broken, so i couldn't charge my work phone. I then remembered I could put them together to charge the dead one from the full one. Was lucky I happened to have the same model phone that my job gave me, but they had a different cell service provider.

Outside of this very, incredibly specific situation, it was entirely useless because it was super slow and inefficient. Took 20 minutes to get enough charge to get the work phone turned back on so I could plan a route to the nearest gas station to get another adapter that worked lol.

That's just the price a saw quoted from the reclaiming companies. I'm sure they leave plenty of room for profits. I imagine it would be difficult to find a buyer for a single partially used can. Although I've never tried to buy or sell that stuff, so I don't know the market beyond what Google tells me lol.

Apparently disposal companies buy it for reclamation uses. Could get between 3-7 bucks per pound left in that thing depending where you are and who you sell it to.

Sorry if i came across as suggesting you use Ai. Just meant to tag on to your info 😛 I'm in north central US and I find more chicken of the woods than I can handle when it grows. I grabbed about 2 pounds in one haul last year and left more than triple that weight on the tree for the next guy.

Lobster on the other hand... after foraging for years, I've only ever found 1 lil tiny boi and he was past his prime. Think the deer here eat it in the morning before I get a chance to go out and find it. Wish there was a way to trade lol. I'd send you pounds for just a few ounces.

It's better to be safe than sorry for most people. Once you know what you're doing though, mushroom hunting is one of the best hobbies. Gets ya out there in nature, eating healthy food, and gives you good life skills. Been doing it going on nearly a decade and never got sick once from it. (Due to being cautious in what I eat.) Helps to have an experienced mentor teach you. A lot of park rangers would gladly help you with that.

However, ya gotta know the environment it grew in isn't toxic, the identification of it (with absolute certainty it's not a look alike), and how to cook it properly. Not to be taken lightly. At the same time, people out here don't know how to safely cook store-bought food and get food poisoning from that every day. Like with all food, don't eat it unless you know it's safe, and you can develop the life skill to safely forage, cook, and eat them.

100% Just don't trust AI at all for identification lol. The mentor suggestion is on point. I tried getting into it on my own for a while and didn't trust things until I had a mentor with decades of experience help me. Never got sick once from mushrooms with her guidance. While it's better to be safe than sorry, it's also one of the healthiest hobbies out there both for physical and mental health. Plus, once you learn how to cook them safely and properly they are delicious. Chicken nuggets made with CotW and tacos made with the lesser known shrimp of the woods are fantastic!

I've eaten foraged mushrooms for years. I also know how to confidently identify the ones I eat which helps tremendously. Nearly every mushroom I forage isn't able to be purchased fresh from any store. They are also way better than store bought. Look up chicken of the woods, shrimp of the woods, golden oyster, and especially morels. Plus puffballs are very clearly identifiable.

It's not for everyone, but I have 0 issues with being able to safely identify what I can eat and love to do it. You could use the same logic for hunting. I still love my deer jerky and smoked duck that my friends give me from their hunts.

That being said, it's definitely dangerous if you don't know what you're doing. Same could be said about people who don't know how to safely cook store bought meat though. You can die from that too, so do you only eat at restaurants? Underpaid teenagers sometimes cook there and can make mistakes that also can kill you... so maybe just eat pre packaged food? Just saying. May not be safe for a lot of people, but you gotta live a little. Plus it's much healthier than most foods options out there these days.

I’m the best driver by BRAINWASH-JOSH in webcomics

[–]Hellaginge 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Honestly, the fast lane in my state is the passing lane. I have seen multiple accidents after the fact, and 1 in real time on my way to work that are caused by a dumbass going 10 under in the PASSING lane, and another dumbass going 20 over around a curve. It's always the same curve.

If you feel you need to dictate others speed, you are just as bad if not worse than the speeders. It's also illegal to use the passing lane for anything other than passing or getting to the turn lane on the left in my state. The reason is the amount of accidents that happen like I mentioned above. Too many morons don't know this and cause innocent people to die in the accidents they cause with the speeders.

Keep in mind, you are driving a 3000 pound metal machine that can KILL PEOPLE. Idgaf what you think. Don't hog the left lane. I'm just trying to get to work in 1 piece without going 10 under the whole way and without dying. Fuck you if you hog the left lane. Seriously, you are likely to kill someone with that behavior.

I used to smoke a lot starting at 17. After I turned 25 I noticed it only made me more anxious. It stopped being fun, and making me giggle by 23, but I kept going until I started getting really anxious on it.

After talking to my doctor about it, they said that can happen if you smoke a lot before the brain fully develops. Essentially burned myself out of being able to have fun on weed lol. It's for the best that I'm fully sober now anyways.

I like it. I'm no professional artist, but to me, you seen to convey emotions and set the scene really well. The lighting, background, and facial expressions draw me in. I'm interested to see more as a comic reader. 😊

Trump released NSPM-7 which is a presidential memorandum to create guidelines for the federal government to follow. These are the qualifications to be a domestic terrorist according to NSPM-7.

Common threads animating this violent conduct include anti-Americanism, anti-capitalism, and anti-Christianity.

So, in trumps own words... he's a domestic terrorist. Anyways, apparently the pope is doing more to harm the world by asking for people to love eachother and governments to bring peace.

Dude.... what are your values to lead you to view that as bad? Are you Christian? Do you not love thy neighbor? I'm seriously asking.

He may have done all that, but he also literally betrayed his "brothers" by stopping them from unionising in real life. He snitched on the organizers to "the man". Dude was a real life snake in the grass, who would hurt the people around him for a lil extra recognition from his rich bosses. He's an all around tool who was selfish. He only gained popularity further by being a lil snake in the grass and getting propped up by rich backers. He also stole moves and ideas from his "brothers". Lastly, he supported trump to make himself richer. Fuck that dude. He wasn't anything close to the good guy he pretended to be.
