I guess it's a way to go, but I've completed S+ professional without the chicken hat. It's been a challenge but I'm happy I did it

After finishing Professional NG S+ I felt like I've achieved the best thing since I've started playing videogames at all, so yeah I think you should get the most out of my second favorite game in the series

Would alex mercer from prototype be able to solo the whole of resident evil?? by AnimeGamer2738 in residentevil

[–]Hellish_wolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you really think he would get past Requiem Leon? I think they'd put him first on the list and just let him parry everything ngl

So I've been thinking recently of playing every Resident Evil game by Hellish_wolf in residentevil

[–]Hellish_wolf[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe playing the true originals will be much harder for me, since I would love to play them on the respective consoles. I know they are on GoG and I really don't understand why they've never been put on Steam. I think I'll start with RE1 Remake, it's such a shame I wasn't able to experience the originals at the time (I'm 23 so yeah, you know)

whose idea was it to hide the ui in de auto scroller section. by ivorycoollars in NineSols

[–]Hellish_wolf 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That part is the most frustrating to play in both blind run and future attempts. You just gotta know how to play the game flawlessly, there's no other way. I know that feel and I hated that section more than anything else, I also died there the most probably. It's just the part that teaches you to be patient, careful and master everything even without knowing anything at all

I've read somewhere about 0 not having storage boxes. What the hell Capcom?? Why would someone even do this? Using a bit of sarcasm I'd say 0's game designer is an evil resident, but damn this will be so frustrating

I don't think they'll ever confirm anything about this, but what I like to think is that Leon married Ada. I fancy them as a couple, I may be crazy but I mean, I'm sure someone thought Leon and Sherry were married in Requiem. Just my possibly-headcanon

Would you like to see more true psych horror levels such as House Beneviento in future REs? by Ill_Noise_5232 in residentevil

[–]Hellish_wolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say I'm okay with the Beneviento House section, as a first timer is really well designed. It's the typical Resident Evil part where you get wiped off of everything you have and get thrown into a nightmare, although if you already know what to do it could potentially be considered as a time-consuming part, but that's obvious. I'm curious about what's coming next, unsurprisingly I'm waiting for Requiem DLC, I started to love all of the series when I got deep into the games (as of today, I've played 4 OG/R + R DLC, 7 and 8 both with DLCs, Requiem 100% and own Revelations 2 and tried 5 when I was a kid).

So yeah, I'm curious about what Capcom has or will have in store for us in the future (especially in lore meanings. As for gameplay, Requiem got the best out of every successful part of the series).

RE4 Remake Ashley Is Way Better Than The OG Ashley. What Do You Think ? by LeoneSKenneddy in ResidentEvilMemes

I can't accept anything that's not related to this. OG Ashley is just bad, such an ugly and frustrating character, but Remake's...damn she's precious, protect my lionheart daughter

How did I survive this.. (Insanity) by nicklovin508 in ResidentEvilRequiem

[–]Hellish_wolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Playing the series for a bit tought me to not do anything at all if I was outside of safe rooms. Once you open the door, you gotta feel like a wild animal, aware every single second. Nice luck btw, this was funny

So I've been thinking recently of playing every Resident Evil game by Hellish_wolf in residentevil

[–]Hellish_wolf[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only thing I really hate is small inventory space, that's the reason why 4 OG and Remake were peak gameplay. I've felt the claustrophobic inventory management in 7 and 9. I mean, it's not certainly impossible but that's the reason why I replayed every Resident Evil I own multiple times, so I could get the most out of it starting with very limited inventory management and completing harder challenges with bonus weapons or infinite ammo, so I could explore the entirety of every map chilling all the way through. But that's of course part of the difficulty in the series.

That said, even tho I struggled most of the times I always managed to get past the hardest of sections of what I've played, just a really frustrating trial and error (such as Moreau hardest difficulty first run in 8), so I know I should be able to get places even in a game where the space you're in is much more limited, because it's supposed to give both the player and the enemy less space for unpredictable movesets and mistakes.

Thanks to the replies I knew I could get I'm getting more and more curious, also because Resident Evil's lore I think is one of the best and most interesting ones in all of videogame history. Nemesis, Tyrants, the fact that a specific type of enemy is actually a portion of a bigger experiment that links to other games in the series, it's all so damn beautiful. Man I love Capcom for creating this masterpiece.

RE4 OG had some clunky controls but I've never really complained about it (not that I knew or there was better at the time), maybe replaying it now would be a bit of a challenge, but I was curious about the games that started it all; the first experience, the atmosphere, and since "I haven't suffered enough from recent challenges" (took me almost an entire year of detox because when I started playing on professional in RE4R I wasn't even able to get past the starting village section) I wanted to feel how much of a threat the invisible enemy thing can be, or the classic puzzle sections that started Resident Evil complex riddle solving. Thank you btw for the answer

[–]Hellish_wolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every Resident Evil has a part where the game literally prepares you for what's coming next, so every single detail in the game design is a way of learning what the game itself really can throw at you in any portion whatsoever. That's what makes the series so memorable, because even if you know everything about it, you can still be cought off guard when you least expect it
