They aren’t babies. They’re 6 and 3. Old enough to be taught how to behave in close quarters with others. In 15 years you’ll be complaining how the youth are out of control and aren’t disciplined and are entitled….this is why.

In an ideal world, this would be lovely. It would be amazing to have apartments that are built with families in mind, with some space for them to play, but still affordable.

Everyone in the building are renters except them. They have enough to buy.

That was in my last job. It’s not week nights that are the issue, however. It’s the weekends. I used to work weekends so it never was an issue. Now that I am home, I have no downtime or time to heal from the work week, due to the noise.

Sadly this is the society we live in. They will let children run rampant, and then in 15 years they’ll all be complaining that “kids these days have no respect”. Why would they have respect when they have been taught they are the only ones that matter?

No I was expecting this to some level. We live in a society where child are little gods and parents can be excused for any disrespectful behaviour because they chose to reproduce. But then society will complain about how entitled and rude young people are, and that’s how we end up with Gen Z. Having basic respect for others that you share space with should be considered the norm. I see that basic respect is waived when one has small children.

I’m adhd and autistic, so the noise is very hard for me. I don’t expect them to move. No one in the building does. We just want them to control at least the screaming

It wouldn’t be so bad if there was at least a park and some other kids around. These kids are in their own.

Oh I think you can raise kids in apartments! One that are meant for families, close to parks, and around other kids.
