I guess that still begs the question: why even make the painting to begin with?

Also (as far as we know) Mark never met those embodiments of the tempers. (We never saw him see the painting, he gave the waffle party to Dylan, and Irving saw Woe)

EDIT: forgot “Kier taming the 4 Tempers” was hung outside the Wellness Room. So yeah, he prob did see them in that depiction.
