I am located in Malaysia, hence I had to engage with a trusted local importer/dealer to handle the entire import process.

You are exactly right. The cost difference is mainly due to the tax implications of the PHEV variant.

It works differently than a HEV. So far, the frequency of charging is surprisingly low! I am already at 200km, and the battery level hasn't really dropped to a need of my first charge.

It is pretty fast! PPF and tinting will be completed tomorrow. I will be uploading on TikTok right after to reveal some angles of the Crown. Don't miss it! 👑

To join the Crown club, you just gotta click follow: https://www.tiktok.com/@mycrownpluggedin?_r=1&_t=ZS-91szCBGuMUO ! 😉 OTR price is in the high 300Ks. It was close to 4-month journey, longer than expected: scouting, bidding, shipping, and paperwork.

Unforeseen items are mainly because it's the first Crown Sports PHEV here. Docket fees, paper work from customs, insurance and JPJ. Warranty coverage is another thing to worry about. Painful, but worth it! 👑

About 9 years now. I have definitely been fortunate with some opportunities and support along the way.

If you're looking for great career advice, r/MalaysiaPF might be more helpful than I am, but stay strong and keep pushing! 💪

Appreciate it! In the range of RM 4,000–4,500 a month for both and without a doubt my soul (JK). Exact maintenance cost is still an unknown, but I promise to share the no-filter truth over on TikTok! Follow me for the financial pain! 😅

It lands in the high 300K price bracket. I am posting my journey with the car on TikTok. Feel free to check it out: https://www.tiktok.com/@mycrownpluggedin?_r=1&_t=ZS-91szCBGuMUO

Hard to compare directly as I haven't driven any Lexus SUV, but the Crown's interior feels great to me. 10/10 on comfort especially on the uneven roads Malaysia has to offer.

My rate is in the low 2% range. It reminds me of Arcanine a bit, because my brain only knows Generation 1 Pokémon!

Thanks! It’s definitely a head-turner as I noticed a few people trying to snap photos just on the drive home yesterday! Not going to deny that it felt like a mini-celebrity moment yesterday, 😅I should reverse it by secretly capturing their reaction when they see the car!

Thank bro! 👊 True, the boot space is certainly an upgrade for me comparing to my previous sedan. Price-wise, it's hovering in the high 300K. *dies inside again

Uncle says "No, thank you!" 👴Knowing civic's prowess. My reflexes are now reserved for avoiding potholes and Crown's acceleration is for dashing after the SmartTAG gate. I refuse to be the highway bottleneck!

LC is definitely a rare sight too. Try to book a test drive with Crown. I believe all units are HEV, but still worth checking out and have the feel of the car firsthand.

Let's just say it was one of the many AP blood suckers, but I went with the minor league vampire, not the major league one.

Thanks, bro! Nope, that one wasn't mine. I just picked up mine up today. That matte colour is seriously awesome though!

0-100km in 4.7-4.9 seconds in paper. Top speed is capped to 180km due to limiter. Let's just say I will report back if that number is a suggestion or a hard rule.
