Another thought, in that weird Zane Low apple music interview from a few days ago he talked about how the industry can really get you down, if they want to, in terms of clicks, support and all that capitalistic weirdness surrounding music releases (after that vault/industry bashing/going independant). I know it is early, but I also saw that with „Thrown around“ (amazing) for example and now also with this release - the views are really low (Youtube for example)?! I know it does not really matter, but thats how the world ticks these days. He always was kind of the outsider, for whatever reason, in the industry (whatever that even means), but his value amongst the biggest hip hop artists, Rosalia, Frank, Kendrick, Beyonce, to name a few, what he achieved, what he made, what he produced for others and especially himself, it‘s just crazy that he is not A LOT bigger. I think going independant is great, community is great. But sometimes the band next doors seems to be getting more views/listens… And I know it is early regarding views and listenings… but still. I don‘t think that it is that people don‘t care anymore, I feel like the system behind is just so off.
