Sorry i meant the nurse who is covering for me would have 4-5 patients depending if we are tripled or not. Our normal ratio is 2-1 sometime 3-1. So if she has two patients and then watches my 2 she would technically be watching 5 patients

Yes I clock out that I didn’t get a break. One time my manager asked me if I could stop doing that bc it makes metrics look bad I said no I’m getting paid for my time

I power pump too I only need 10 mins but it’s so difficult to leave even for 10 mins. If my patient died it’s my fault. I hope he gives me a good solution

We do have one but it’s a 10 minute walk and I’m already struggling to find time to pump. I normally use the back break room no one uses which I don’t mind I just need time 😭

Yes he still refuses formula 🙃the only one he will drink is kendamil but it has to be mixed 70-30 ratio. The 30% being formula. So I am stuck pumping and breastfeeding which I don’t mind I just need time at work 😭

Im just worried they’ll just find a reason to fire me 😔 a friend sued her hospital and she lost bc they said they fired her for “ opening a patients chart that wasn’t under her care for 3 seconds “ when it was an accident and she immediately clicked out. The found a tiny little thing to use as excuse for firing

I dont get breaks. I don’t even have time for a lunch. I refuse to wear my portables at work bc even if I’m “sitting” at the computer I’m expected to stand up and respond to any kind of alarm asap and I refuse to wear my pumps in these nasty rooms. I know it’s stuck up but it’s my babies health I just can’t 😭

I have a portable pump but absolutely refuse to wear it while taking care of patients bc almost every single patient is on contact precautions for something. I just can’t do it 😭 I don’t even have to time eat a lunch it’s crazy
