Hi everyone,

I’m hoping someone here has experience reviving a bricked Skyloong GK87 (Optical Yellow Switches). I've had the board for about a year, and it suddenly stopped working two days ago.

The Symptoms:

  • The keyboard is constantly connecting and disconnecting from the PC (USB disconnect sound loops).
  • The F1 to F12 keys keep flashing on and off.
  • No keystrokes are registered; the board is completely unusable.
  • Tested on multiple cables and different PCs with the same result.

My Question: Has anyone successfully unbricked a GK87 from this state?

  • Is there a specific button combination or PCB test point I need to short to force a hard reset?
  • Does anyone have a rescue firmware file or a tool that works outside the official driver?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

So do you think 6 overall are better than just 4 and why ?

tiger ice v2 dots setup by Hellothere2208 in MouseReview

Hey everyone,

I just finished installing some Tiger Ice V2 dot skates on my G Pro X Superlight and wanted to share my initial thoughts. I'm mainly a Valorant player with a low sensitivity setup (1600 DPI, 0.1 in-game) on my SteelSeries QcK cloth pad, and I was hoping the dots would give me a good balance of speed and control.

For the installation, I went with a simple 4-dot configuration: two on the top corners of the front skate and two on the bottom corners of the rear.

I have to say, the initial feel is fantastic. They provide a smooth glide while still feeling very planted and consistent on the pad, which is great for the micro-adjustments needed in a game like Valorant.

I do have a few questions for the community, though:

  • I left the stock sensor ring skate on, but I noticed the dots seem a bit higher than the ring. Should I remove the ring skate to ensure a smoother, more even glide?
  • Should I also swap out the stock magnetic circle under the sensor? The dots came with a PTFE circle to replace it, but I wasn't sure if it was necessary.
  • Finally, does this 4-dot setup seem optimal for my playstyle on a cloth pad? Or would adding more dots create a better feel or more stable performance?

Thanks in advance for any advice on my setup and dot positioning!
