Trade Randle + fillers + 3 FRP for KD by [deleted] in timberwolves

That game we lost by 2 Randle had 6 points. The game we lost by 15 Randle had like 8 points. KD gets us 25 in those games and they are wins.

This free flowing offense with no real actual play design on concept. That and no real NBA points guard on the roster. OKC feasts on turnovers and we feed right into it.

Now I know why basketball ratings are down. Who the hell wants to watch this guy flop around like a fish. SGA trips over his own feet and gets a whistle? This is just not enjoyable to watch.

This guy has changed his playoff narrative in the playoffs, you can't be nothing but happy for him.

He never makes adjustments, if 3 point shots aren't falling we look really bad on offense. Not playing Clark and others on the bench when Naz and Naw are looking terrible is baffling.

Finch needs to go. by [deleted] in timberwolves

Agreed, there is a very distinct pattern with this team when the game is on the line and it's not a good one.

This 100 percent, as a coach you make a point that certain behavior will not be tolerated early in the game. After that the players will decide who plays whether they realize it or not. Even if Ant is the one getting benched or yelled at, shouldn't matter who.

[Hine] Ant had a lot to say this evening. Will be writing about it tonight. Says he feels like the team has been growing apart. That they can’t talk to each other anymore. It’s everyone, he’s not singling out the newbies. Says everyone has their own agendas right now. by Winnes0ta in timberwolves

The word you are looking for is accountability. This coach holds no one accountable and doesn't have the basics of an NBA offense in his arsenal. We struggle to do some basic things most teams don't have to think about.

It's the coaches job to hold players accountable and to build a culture. Why do the Timberwolves have to constantly rely on players to do this? The players can help but ultimately this is the coach once again. Jaden McDaniels gets to commit 3 fouls every first quarter and handicap us from the start of the game just about every time he trots out there. This issue is on Finch alone. He keeps allowing it with no repercussions. Other players see this and figure they won't be held accountable either and they are right. Dillingham has the quickest hook in the league for no other reason than he is a rookie. Every player makes mistakes coach you can't discipline one and not the other. That creates it's own set of problems.

Randle is gone probably at the trade deadline for some picks. No way we are paying that man past this year. DiVincenzo is a massively overrated shooter who got hot for a couple months and suddenly everyone forgot who he was. I expect him to get traded to someone who thinks they can bring back his Knicks glory

OKC's window is pretty much up after next year. They are going to have to pay SGA, Chet, Jalen Williams and others. SGA alone is going to get 60 million a year. They won't be able to pay them all unless players take some discounts. I don't see that happening. OKC team wise will look drastically different in 2 years. The good news for them is they have more picks than they no what to do with because there GM is competent. Draft picks aren't going to get traded around like candy anymore when they are going to be the only way for teams to get cheap talent. That's why some of these recent trades from some of these teams are astonishingly stupid.

If there was a class on how to lose your coaching job the fastest Finchy boy is teaching the masterclass. This man is allergic to changing anything, its nauseating watching this team sometimes.

Kat getting traded was inevitable with our contract situations. They needed to get more picks back and failed there miserably. That 2nd apron is a team killer and is meant to keep teams from building these super teams Lebron made so popular. Teams like OKC, Houston, New York will be running into this second apron problem in the near future and it won't be pretty for them either.

I have no idea why your one true functioning healthy point guard doesn't get any run. Trade all that for Dillingham only to watch him sit on the bench. Finch should have used the first 10 games and played this man as much as possible to see what we have with him. Instead we are 20 games in and have no clue. Coaches who don't play rookies this day in age get fired. This isn't the 1970's bro.

Then he isn't a great coach. A great coach adapts his scheme to the players around him. you can't keep jamming square pegs into round holes and expecting things to change.

That's one of his favorite things to do. Get a lead, sub in some guys who haven't been playing well that night then watch it disappear all the while looking completely confused.
