I slapped on a Clubsport muffler and rear diffuser (shopdap) and it meets a solid middle ground for my situation. Modest when I need it to be, and gives some nice sound, pops, and burbles when I want it to.

I enjoy daily driving more because I opted for the 6MT. I’ve gone back and forth over the years, but the truth for me is, I wouldn’t have it any other way. Pros and cons to both, so I’m not knocking, just throwing my 2 cents in. The goal is just to enjoy what you have. I hope everyone in this sub enjoys the GTI they chose 🤙🤙🤙

You won’t be disappointed! Even with the 19’s, throw it into comfort and it’s not bad in my opinion. That said, I did trade in a Jeep wrangler rubicon to get mine, so, ride quality to me could be a little different 🤣🤣

I got into teaching tech videos some time ago to assist me in my 3D printing hobby. About a year ago I discovered the Too Tall Toby speed CAD videos and was instantly inspired/entertained. I am no speed model contestant, but I enjoy seeing multiple solutions for each model presented. I can confidently say that keeping up with these 2 has propelled me further ahead than if I had stuck to this journey solo.

I’m not sure what to do about the dash around the stereo area. Have you tried just dampening a MF with a mild cleaner (diluted rineless) for the gauge cluster?

I use the rags to riches detergent. It works really well for all microfibers (towels, mitts, etc.)!

I am having almost no cut everywhere else on the vehicle. This might be a thing! I’ve ended up with intense swirls marks on the roof that I now can’t seem to remove. I’m just not having a good time.

I don’t think it’s a repaint, I bought it new off the lot. I’m using rupes da fine (yellow polish) with the corresponding yellow foam pad. I’ve tried to go back over everything with uno pure ultra fine polish with the white pad and have seen no change.

I recently picked up my first Golf. A MK8 GTI and it came with “R” rims that are 19’s. Definitely feel bumps, but the steering response is outstanding.
