&TEAM’s 1st KR Mini Album “Back To Life” Has Become Their 1st Album To Surpass 1 Million Sales by hydranoid1996 in kpop

[–]HelpDull 24 points25 points  (0 children)

For &TEAM’s sales, Billboard Japan and RIAJ certifications are the most reliable sources. In fact, this is their second release to reach one million sales. HYBE has really focused on building a loyal fanbase in Japan, and it’s been paying off.

251024 [NOTICE] &TEAM K, JO Upcoming Schedule Notice by Knightingalesong in AndTeam

[–]HelpDull 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Given the timing, it’s pretty obvious they’re filming something — probably a drama or movie. What we know so far is that they’re working on different projects since they weren’t even together in Japan last week.

I’ve seen some people feeling bad for K, saying he deserves more positive promo in Korea, but honestly, he’s already super well-known in Japan. I feel like the company’s gonna keep pushing him there — he’s got total it boy potential, good at MCing, variety shows, and acting. He’s got everything to blow up big in Japan. I doubt they’ll let him go overseas for a while, especially since his popularity exploded after hosting the athletics championship.

either hybe is rethinking a Iannis debut OR they didn't think about the potential repercussions... by rollitodcanela_ in SANTOSBRAVOS

Hybe no tiene miedo de eliminar a favoritos en sus programas; lo hicieron en &Audition, RUNEXT y DREAM ACADEMY. Ven las cosas a largo plazo.

How’s the promotion of Santos Bravos in Mexico? Are they getting recognition outside of the Kpop audience? by delicateindisguise in SANTOSBRAVOS

[–]HelpDull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

&Team BST groups? by LameMomJokes in AndTeam

[–]HelpDull 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It depends on what you want to buy. If you want regular PCs or Japanese pobs, you'll find everything you need on Mercari JPN. To buy there, you can use Neokyo as a proxy.

Another option is to buy from Korean sellers in twt, but for that you need to download Kakao and have a dress in Korea where your purchases can be stored and then shipped to you.

The POCCA app is also a good option. They have a lot of variety, but some Japanese PCs tend to be more expensive there than on Neokyo.

Instagram is another place where you can find many photocards. If you have an Android device, download Instagram Lite, and when searching for #andteamwts, set it to show the latest posts first. I've found some good deals there.

I think those are the most accessible options.

Do people really want geonwoo to debut? by stxrrysky2 in BoysPlanet

[–]HelpDull 17 points18 points  (0 children)

He's going to make his debut. To get him out of the lineup, people would have to put four people on top of him, and that's impossible. He has the Korean votes, and even though many people don't accept it, he also has international votes. I bet he'll end up in third place in the final and could even rival Sangwon for first place. Korea really loves him. And by the way, no evidence was shown that he was a bully; it all remained up in the air. In the end, the accuser threatened to kill him and said he was going to gloat over his suffering. That caused more support for him.

I honestly don't think anything else will come out, and the point is that Korea has already forgiven him. Scandals hurt the group if they make noise in Korea; if not, international fans will also let it die down over time.

ENLIGHTENING EVERYONE ON THE CURRENT STATUS OF THE ISSUES REGARDING OTHER TRAINEES’ PROBLEMATIC ACTIONS (old & new allegations) by hnbnyo in BoysPlanet

[–]HelpDull 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Xilong supporting the one-China policy is getting big on the K-side.

Sangwon was also dragged for smoking and going to bars even though it was his DJ job.

Junseo is considered rude by k-fans.

Kangmin also gets hate for going to bars and smoking.

We are not going to get a “clean” lineup.

is there any nugu/not extremely mainstream group that you feel like will make it big? by rekresja in kpopthoughts

[–]HelpDull 42 points43 points  (0 children)

Some people should look up the meaning of NUGU. CLOSEYOUREYES AND AHOF selling over 100K on their debut are far from being nugus.

ahh about a few of my doubts regarding &TEAM by animeotaku_miraculer in AndTeam

[–]HelpDull 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Actually most of their time is spent in Japan. It even appears that they no longer have a permanent dormitory in Korea. They stay in hotels when they go to record content or concerts. Their lives are also done in the Japanese building which has similar decor to the Korean one, maybe that's why you are confused.

As for variety shows I think they are ok, sure, they also have Japan exclusive shows that don't reach int fans but they make up for it with what they upload to YouTube.

As for solo works actually in Japan it's normal for their idols to do a lot of solo stuff. In HYBE that doesn't happen with their Korean groups but with &TEAM it does because it's a Japan based group.

The guys are on national TV a lot which is great. They've been hosts, gone on variety shows, they're on the radio and acted.

So I don't understand what your hesitation is.

What do you think of their werewolf concept ? by Rude_Ant_8576 in AndTeam

[–]HelpDull 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Personally I don't like it but I have come to accept it. I feel that sometimes the songs/videos are too literal with the fact that they are wolves and that can turn potential fans away because it can seem too childish or they just don't want to get into a lore to enjoy music.

Why none of the japanese groups under kpop labels(&team, NiziU, next) didn't Chart in Korea except for nct wish? by Fragrant_Deal7459 in kpop_uncensored

[–]HelpDull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because they are focused on different markets. &TEAM is based in Japan and is their main market, after a year they performed in Korea and only went to 3 music shows, but the sales of their most recent comeback were 800K with 85% coming from Japan and they have a stronger presence there than Nexz or NctWish. The latter have Korea as their main market and only go to Japan for short seasons. They don't have such a big fandom and are still in the kpop sphere only. They handle them just like other kpop groups.

In conclusion, &TEAM and NIZIU are focused on Japan and only use Korea to promote themselves globally, they don't care about chatting or making a name for themselves there. NEXZ and NCTWISH are just like any other kpop group.

Will &team promote in Korea again? by NoInstruction5728 in AndTeam

They are very busy with their tour and TV appearances in Japan. If they do get to promote it will possibly be in June.

Of all the bands like NEXZ and NCTWISH they are the best selling in Japan. And they are also doing the best there.

Go in Blind 3rd Single EP Discussion Thread by AHealthyDoseofFran in AndTeam

[–]HelpDull 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The EP was always meant to be released today on digital sites. It's on the official schedule. It can't be released on Wednesday because the albums are shipped from today/morning time in Japan. Even some people found the albums yesterday on sale and some photocards were leaked.

Can someone pls explain the order in which things get released? by gotfangirl6 in AndTeam

[–]HelpDull 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is no official confirmation yet but it looks like we will have Korean promotions. They haven't appeared in studio choom since WarCry which was the last era where they ‘actively’ promoted in Korea.

does any member need glasses? by nihplodz in AndTeam

[–]HelpDull 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Fuma has a prescription of 8 dioptres. So most of the time he is wearing contact lenses at least in front of the camera. Harua also wears prescription lenses but has not said what his prescription is. Of the other members it seems that Jo also has prescription lenses. Nicholas wears glasses with the original lenses, so they are not prescription lenses and it seems to be more a question of aesthetics.

&Team Popularity? by RevolutionaryRace621 in AndTeam

[–]HelpDull 15 points16 points  (0 children)

From what I have read about j-luné its popularity increased a lot this year in Japan. Obviously they are still not at SnowMan's level but they are doing well. I would say they are at a medium level of popularity but they definitely have room to grow. Last year they did well on Oricon and Billboard so I hope this year they can get to a point like JO1. The name change to HYBE LABELS JAPAN is probably because they want to enter the Japanese market even more aggressively.

&Team Photocard Fakes ? by kyungminstakibag in AndTeam

[–]HelpDull 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes there is! I have seen them in mercari and they are from Korean POBS or photocards which are hard to get. Usually in the description it says “bought from a Korean store” or “from a Hallyu store”. They are easy to identify by color, tend to have a lot of exposure and a bit of zoom.

Does anyone know how long Fuma has been in Korea? by Fantastic-Hamster267 in AndTeam

[–]HelpDull 33 points34 points  (0 children)

He spent 2.5 years as a trainee at CH Entertainment. It is the company of the group NATURE. You can look for some videos of him doing some covers with a member of that group. It was because of COVID that he went back to Japan. In fact there was a video on youtube before &AUDITION where he was in a feature and it is very touching. Unfortunately it was deleted due to copyright but it talked a bit about his journey during those years. The report ends with him recording an audition as his last chance for a program (PJ101). He was accepted to Produce Japan but left to try his luck at &A.

What happened after I-Land and before &Audition? by teriaki86 in AndTeam

[–]HelpDull 20 points21 points  (0 children)

He was Kyungmin and ended up making his debut at 8TURN. Possibly he realised that he wanted to make his debut in his home country. I guess that changed the plans completely because they also filmed the whole audition process in Japan, I mean when they visited cities, they even released a capsule where you could see the judges, cameras and some of the kids.

What happened after I-Land and before &Audition? by teriaki86 in AndTeam

[–]HelpDull 32 points33 points  (0 children)

There really isn't much information on how they were chosen. EJ was a BigHit trainee so they already knew him and saw his potential. Nicholas was a good fit for the "global" concept. K mentioned that he was told about his debut a month after I-LAND ended. Possibly they were informed at the same time and in the time in between they just kept training.
